"You've gotta be kidding me. Not you again!" I sighed. He grinned widely at me and I just rolled my eyes. I grabbed the rest of my books and noticed that his shades were on the floor. I picked them up and handed it to Luke. He looked startled at the sight of me hold in his sunglasses.

This was the first time that I was able to get a good look at his face. He had a lip ring on the left side of his lip. It was small, but definitely noticeable. It seemed punk rock, but he didn't. Is it supposed to fool your perspective of his personality? Probably.

His mouth was naturally frowning. When he zoned off, there was a pout visible on his face and he doesn't even realize it. Then his eyes.

Oh. My. God. Those. Eyes.

Those beautiful blue eyes were to die for. I felt like I was in a trance as I stared into the vast blue oceans within his eyes.

My trance was broken when he slipped on his shades awkwardly. "Why are you staring at me like that?" he asked, mocking my question from the first time we met. "Me? Staring at you? Pfft." I scoffed nervously, waving my hand dismissively. "Whatever. So, what are you doing after school?" he asked suddenly.

"Nothing." I shrugged, fixing my books in my arm. "Cool. Do you want to meet after school?"

I hesitated. "Why are you being so nice to me?" I asked. "What do you mean?" he questioned in a confused tone. "What I mean is that I'm.....me. I'm not trying to fish compliments because I hate girls who do that. But seriously, why me?" I replied quietly. "I like you bcause you're not fake. You're you and that's all that matters."

I smiled shyly and tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear. "See you after school, then." I blushed. He smiled as I walked to my next class. I didn't notice him walk behind me until he caught up to my side. "What class do you have next?" I asked. "History." he replied. "Same here." I said and planned out how long my nap was going to be.

Then I felt a warm hand grasp mine and drag me down the hallway to History. I looked up and smiled at Luke, who smiled back.

I think I was falling for him.

No, Stevie. Don't let yourself fall for another guy because he's just going to break your heart like the last.

Was Luke really different than everybody else?

Maybe.

But I there are still things that are yet to be discovered, so it's too early to judge.

I plopped down on the seat next to Luke and smiled at him. I put my books in the middle of the desk so they wouldn't fall off. Then a hand sweeped across my desk and knocked them over to the side. I looked up to see none other than the Wicked Witch of High School.

"What do you want, Amanda?" I groaned, crouching down to pick up my books. I gathered them in my arm again and turned around to see her sitting in my seat. She smirked and I rolled my eyes, even though I was dying to sit next to Luke. I averted my attention to Luke and plastered a small, fake smile on my face. He smiled at me sadly and then glared at Amanda, which caused me to smirk slightly.

I walked to the back of the classroom and sat in the empty seat. Luke turned around from his chair and gave me a worried look. I shot back with a "don't worry about me" look. He shook his head and stood up, placing himself in the seat next to me. I couldn't stop that stupid grin that widely spread across my face. Amanda was fuming right now, but the teacher walked in so she couldn't change seats anymore.

What's her problem anyway?

She has Ashton, the guy of every girl's dreams except mine. Why did she want Luke?

Why did I want Luke?
