It was 31st August, the National Day of Malaysia.
James Bond was driving leisurely in his latest car; The Lotus Double 07 along the Kuala Lumpur Federal Highway when the screen of his digital radio flipped over, revealing therein three digital messages:
Time: 1030hrs
Place: Hanging Bridge, Twin Towers, KL
Assignment: retrieve digital diskette.James muttered under his lips when he checked on his Seiko wrist watch showing it was already 1000hr in the morning. And he was in the middle of a grand celebration.
His mind was pumping extra adrenaline to digest the quickest route to the Twin Towers without being held up by the countless of celebrants.
His GPS gave him an alternative route but he knew it was unreliable.
As he drove through the Federal Highway, he caught sight of an old Sungai Buloh main road, running parallel to the Highway about half a mile away that had lesser traffic,
So. James quickly changed into higher gear, enabling his car to climb the detour road leading onto the overhead bridge across the Federal Highway before making several hair rising turns and dangerous maneuver through narrow roads and alleys, passing several housing areas that led into Sungai Buloh Main Road.
His driving skill was superb as usual avoiding several near collision with the cyclists and pedestrians, most of which in the height of celebration mood.
With siren on, the National Proton Prelude Police car geared up to pursuit the Lotus Double 07 through mazes of back alley street roads. His GPS proved to be helpful indeed.
He tried to shake off the nuisance Police Car but the policemsn was a self-proclaimed ace driver, tailing the Lotus like a Formula One driver.
His co-driver who was a lady officer equally unmoved by the stun-like speeding car in pursuit; she calmly rallied the information to headquarters.
Soon the quiet morning of the City suburb was pierced through by the wailing sirens from several police cars.
The route which was supposed to be short, stretched for miles and dusty, thanks to the unreliability of the roads layout.
The pursuit extended into the Chinese vegetables plots and fresh water fish ponds, creating havoc with the vegetables growers and fishermen.
A couple of fierce dogs barked at the speeding cars.
James Bond then pressed onto the turbo accelerator and the car zoomed ahead like a bullet creating clouds of dust behind. One unlucky police cars veered into the fish pond while the other narrowly knocking an old trishaw before slamming onto a chicken scoop filled with chicks and hens.
After 10 minutes of high speed car chase in the orchard, they finally reached an open area where a railway tracks ran across the open plain. An old steam locomotive was pulling two closed wagons and five opened wagons along its tracks leisurely.
As James Bond brought his Lotus closer to the tracks, he was greeted by a series of meooooo from the closed wagons. This made his wonder beside the cattle in the closed wagons, what other things were kept there because he caught sight of several pairs of eyes peeping through cracks in one of the wooden closed wagon.
