While all this was taking place, Rose's father had run into Mrs. Meyers quite a few times after their...interesting first meeting.

The first of these occurred about two weeks after that incident. Rose asked her father to go to a movie with her and he agreed. When they got to the theatre, Rose led him to their seats-right next to Kaysey...and her mother. Mr. O'Reilly didn't know what to think of that, so he just said hello and sat down.

Kaysey winked at Rose as she sat down. Rose winked back, and they broke out into laughter. Their respective parents looked bewildered as they smiled, not understanding what was funny(which was good for Kaysey an Rose!).

Little "coincidences" like this kept happening for few months until finally, one day, Rose's father asked Mrs. Meyers out on a date. When Kaysey got back from work and Rose told her where their parents were, she(Kaysey) laughed.

"I told you it wouldn't take long!" Kaysey exclaimed gleefully. Rose laughed, too.

"So you did. So you did," she agreed. "I just didn't believe it would actually happen!"

"Yes, well, it did," said Kaysey. "It actually worked out pretty nicely, didn't it?" Rose nodded.

"Yes! The first time, at the movie, I couldn't help but laugh at Dad's expression when he saw your mom," she said.

"Ha, ha, yeah, that was pretty amusing!" Kaysey replied.

"Yep." Rose sighed. "Well, at least it's working out for us," she said.

"Definitely. And they haven't found out who's behind it all!" Kaysey added.

"Oh, yeah! Can you imagine what they would say if they did find out?"

"Sort of, but not really. And what little I can imagine, I am pretty sure would not be good for us!"

'"No, probably not."

Now that things were progressing on their own, Kaysey and Rose let them be. Mr. O'Reilly kept asking Kaysey's mother to go on dates with him (for reasons which are rather obvious). Of course, she kept on consenting to go (for the same rather obvious reasons).

A month and a half before Rose's 19th birthday, Alyssa Meyers agreed to become Mrs. Mason O'Reilly. Although it was rather short notice, they decided on January 22(Rose's birthday) as the date of the wedding. Everybody worked feverishly in order to have everything prepared on time.

Kaysey and Rose were, of course, the bridesmaids. Dereck and Kaysey's cousin Anthony were groomsmen, with Dereck and Rose being best man and maid of honor.

The wedding went smoothly until it was time to exchange the rings, and they realized her ring was...not there. Panic ensued, but after about five minutes, Rose's father realized it was in his pocket(for some strange reason). Things after that proceeded the way they were supposed to, and they were safely married.

After the reception was over, and all the pictures had been taken, the couple left for their honeymoon near the border of Ireland, and everybody else went home and(for the wedding party, at least) crashed, calling it a day.

After the honeymooners came home, Kaysey's(and now Rose's) mother settled right into her new role as Mrs. O'Reilly. Dereck had gotten to know her during the time before she married his father, and they had become rather close, though not as close as she was to Rose. Tanya, however, refused to acknowledge her as her mother. She had soon caused the new Mrs. O'Reilly, who rarely disliked people, to take a vehement disliking to Tanya, particularly after she(Mrs. O'Reilly) noticed Tanya's cruelty to Rose and Kaysey.
