The Missing Piece of History

Chapter 7 CATHY: DUEL WARS

Professor Michael asked us to introduce ourselves and we did. The class was full with about 120 students in it. I sat next to Rose in the second row.

"Mythology class, as you all might have guessed, deals with the history of Illusia. I am sure there are both residents of Illusia and blue-bloods here in this class. So I will start my class with the most basic concept, the map of Illusia," Professor Michael said and he switched on the projector.

"The map shows the five major cities of Illusia: Neodom, Berglon, Charmington, Lilyadale and Waffletown, and the uninhabited islands surrounding them. But this is a recently updated map. As many of you would have known, there was this sixth major city, FRAEGON, which was destroyed as a result of 'THE WAR OF ILLUMINATA'." The professor paused for a few seconds and then continued, "I will explain about this war later."

"Now let us come to our original discussion. The five major cities of Illusia: Each of them is famous for a particular reason. Illusia is dependent on all these five cities."

"Let us start with Neodom - The major city which is considered as the head quarters of Illusia. It deals with the security of the people in Illusia. This city is famous for its 'Training Camp' where the warriors are trained and join the security forces where they work to protect the people from all sorts of dangers.

Berglon - The city is well developed in the production of weapons. The managing members of this city deals with the amount of weapons manufactured all over Illusia and their distribution. It is also a place filled with businessmen dealing with various businesses.

Lilyadale - This city is well versed in the art of farming. They are involved in the trade activities all around Illusia. It is a city that is famous for its trade routes. It is a pollution free area as it is covered with fresh greeneries all over.

Charmington - The city that is famous for its academicians. It has a lot of Academies there where various research programs are carried out. But this city does not have a direct access to Neodom and Berglon due to the presence of the 'Fairyloom Forest'. I will explain about the forest some other day. But the trade routes of Lilyadale help to fix these problems.

Waffletown - This city is still developing because it was one city which was greatly affected due to the War of Illuminata owing to its adjacency to Fraegon. The city is famous for its Herbal power. People here are extremely talented in their tendency to heal the wounded and diseased. After the war, the residents of this city made a decision of not to take part in violence anymore. So there are no warriors there, only healers."

Then the professor went on to explain the borders of the cities by pointing to the map which was projected onto the screen. I paid much attention to that class because it gave me an idea of where I was living. But it was clearly evident that the person sitting behind me wasn't, because I could hear him snoring.

Once the Mythology class was done, I took my note to check the class schedule. The next class was the Basic Skills Class and we were supposed to go the Training Arena 1. We checked the route to the Arena from the map of the Academy that was hung outside the Mythology Lab.

The Arena was so big and had huge rows of trees which made it look like a forest. Its entrance was a stony structure covered with lots of creepers. Rose looked around and said, "This place is filled with your element. I am sure you love this place."

She clearly had no idea how I was feeling right then. That place would have made me comfortable once but at that time, it made me conscious of my powers. I tried to relax myself.

From a tree behind Rose, a short lady jumped down. She was wearing brown tops and pants. Her matching brown hair was tied in a pony. Rose was startled and ran towards me. Teena let out a teasing laugh.
