It was like any other Sunday I was getting ready for my shift at the pub.oh im Katie by the way and I work at Gary’s bar and restaurant California. If you didn’t know Gary is my dad so I have to work at his pub I guess its ok in away because I get say in who plays there. You see there is a room in the back which is massive that we have bands come in to perform tonight we have a band called black veil brides. I haven’t met them yet but my dad gave me their demo tape and it was amazing so Im looking forward to meet them oh my god im late. Grabbing my studded belt and hoodie I ran out the door it was still light but the sun was on its way down. After a five minute walk from my apartment I finally reached work and standing by the door were two guys covered in war paint with shoulder length hair they were both so cute. “hey um have you got a lighter I can borrow” the closest one said “ yeah sure here you go” I said pulling out my AFI lighter from my bag along with my cigs I had just enough time to smoke before work. “so you guys must be from black veil brides then I loved the demo” “yeah we are and thanks im Andy and that’s Ashley” “im Katie and nice to meet you” “and you, you must be Gary’s daughter we have known your dad for a long time well I was bout 2 when you were born so I don’t really remember you as a baby but my mum does” “ok that’s kind of not weird in any way what so ever” “ok it will be for you so any way we best get back in because you will be late for work and we will be late for sound check” I stumped my cig out then followed Andy and Ashley in to the bar where my dad was standing arms crossed “20 minutes late missy” “dad im sorry” “it was my fault Gary I kept her talking” “was it? naughty Andy” my dad said pretending to hit Andy. Andy said sorry again then went to the backroom to practise while I went and started setting up the bar in the backroom for tonight. While I was uncovering all the glasses I looked as Andy pulled his top off. “eyes on your job missy” “what they are” “I saw you looking at Andy he’s a good lad so don’t turn him into you” “dad you trying to say im a bad person” “no didn’t say anything of the type” I was just about to reply when he walked off and left me once more to sort the bar out. I was just about finished when Andy walked over to get a drink “hmm beer please” “ok?” I questioned “your dad said that I shouldn’t drink while here in case anything goes wrong and he gets the blame from my mum” “oh I see” I placed the glass in front of him said it was on the house then I exited the bar to go stand at the side of the stage to watch the practise.
After practise I was picked up by jinx and Ashley, I was taken to the dressing room. “hmm you need a black veil brides make over” Andy said armed with war paint “im scared” “you should be” Christian said. When Andy and the guys had finished I looked like a missing band member but it was a good look. My dad came backstage to look for me and when he found me he looked confused “um have you joined the band or something Katie” “yeah I play the…” “Triangle” Andy imputed “well take your triangle and get back behind the bar we are about to let people in you can talk to Andy and the guys later as they are all staying at your apartment” “father say what” “I’ll talk to you later” “wait dad” I grabbed the war paint of Andy and went and covered my dad in it we all looked at him and laughed. After I wished the band good luck I took my place behind the bar and my dad let everyone in. the room filled in matter of minutes and in an hour I served 600 people black veil brides seemed pretty well known. Not many people came to get drinks while the band was on so I just sat and listened to the music and sang along to the odd song I knew that was on the demo. I found my self staring at Andy a lot of the time there was just something about him that attracted me to him. Before I knew it the band had finished and everyone had left I was tidying up when two arms wrapped around my waist “do you want some help?” I turned around and came face to face with Andy his arms still around me I felt so relaxed I quickly pulled away “sure if you want”. His war paint had slightly come of because of him sweating and he had removed his contacts so his bright blue eyes were on show. I had stopped at this point and was staring at his beautiful face “he’s single” “what” I turned around to see Christian, jinxx, Ashley and jake standing there “he is single and looking me and the guys are gonna go for a look around maybe you could take Andy around and show him the town” Ashley said before walking off “yeah Katie you can show me the town” “oh um ok then we can meet them guys at my apartment im sure my dad will show them where it is” “he already has and the place is clear lets go” he grabbed my hand as I grabbed my hoodie. His hand was warm and it felt so right
