Authors Note

I hope you will enjoy this - quite honestly, I've thought for a while about writing this and slowly I've come up with ideas. I would love to read your opinions in the comments, and I would also like to hear your opinions so that I can maybe add some into the story! If you're not into the theme of Bars and Melody, try to imagine them as other people and maybe then you will like what I'm writing. Without further ado - let's get into the story.

Chapter One: Guardian Angel

Today has been a long day for me. Another day in hell if I have to be totally honest with you. I don't remember much of it, not like there is much to remember, every day is the same. I go into school, and come out with new scars - sometimes physical and sometimes mental. You may ask, "Why don't you tell anyone?". There is no-one who can help me, not even my parents. I tend to find it hard to open up in-front of people, they just don't understand me, however it isn't as simple as that since I, myself find it hard to understand what goes on in my head, and what is the cause for people's actions against me. What have I done to them? I don't even know most of them, they don't know me either. I'm just a small, brown-haired, brown-eyed boy stuck in a place filled with hate.

Today they, the bullies managed to get to me like never - in a place that I wasn't expecting this to happen. You would think, that they'd leave you alone after school where there is no-one they can show off in-front. Well, you're totally wrong and to be fair it's the exact opposite.

I put on my hoodie, just before leaving school. As soon as the bell rang, we were let out of class, I ran straight for the door so that no-one could get in-front of me. I look behind me, then turn my head forward. "Good, I can finally be alone." I gasp, and stick my earphones in. "I built a friend" by Benjamin Alec is slowly beating away in the background, I focus more on my thoughts. Hearing this song makes me hope for the better - that one day, I will find someone who will accept me. I turn right, and start heading down a road which leads me to a park.

I place my hand on the gate, which separates me from the park - i slowly pull it towards me - It makes a squeaking noise  that I can hear through my earphones. I look around me. There is no-one here, this makes me smile. I love strolling around the park after school, here people can't interrupt me. It puts me in a place, far away from the hell that I face at school. I could never really grasp, why I liked being alone. Maybe it was because I have gotten used to the circumstances that I face every single day? Yeah, I guess this would be a great explanation for my feelings.

I take an alley to the right of me, It's mostly surrounded by trees and behind them there is a large, green field filled with grass. It's getting quite late by now. The sun has started to come down, and some of this night's stars begin to show up on the sky. This doesn't really matter to me, I continue my slow walk towards my home. Suddenly, I see a drop fall in-front of me, this is quickly followed by another one, and another. Soon the heavens open and the rain starts to pour down, not only onto the pavement, grass and trees - but also onto me. "Great, this is what I needed. At least it suits my mood" I mumble to myself.

I faintly hear something over my music. "D---es" - what was that? I look around, but don't see anything. Once again, "Dev--es" but this time I hear it much better. I also hear foot steps, quite a few of them. "Devries" The voice is getting much closer now, so are he footsteps. I hear my name clearly - which makes me look up to the sky, there is nothing there. I turn around, "Shit! Leo this can't be happening - not now. If this is a dream, wake up now!" I think to myself, it's clearly not a dream. I wasn't expecting them to look for me here. Why would they even bother? Like school wasn't already hell for me.

I turn around, i pickup the pace - moving my legs faster with each step. It doesn't help. Someone grabs me by my hood - everything seems to slow down, and I fall to the ground. I hear someone laughing, not that this is something new to me, I hear this every day. I mentally sigh, my earphones have now fallen out my ears. I can hear everything quite clearly. "What is it this time, Michael" I say quietly, under my breath.
