Author's Note:

Hey! I'm back once again with another part to the story. It took me a little to gather some motivation; but with a little of spare time and some thinking, I've finally gathered everything up to bake you another chapter. It's a continuation of the last chapter, therefore it may not be as interesting to read, however I do hope you enjoy :)

The time had slowed down for Charlie. Everything around him was happening so slow - he couldn't really understand why. He was still at the back of the yellow ambulance, which let out a loud scream every few seconds to warn the drivers in-front. Charlie had been staring at his phone, for the past five minutes. His mother told him to be home 15 minutes ago;

"How will I explain this to her" he thought to himself, as he opened the messaging app on his phone. He wrote a few words for his mother, explaining why he wasn't home yet and that she shouldn't worry - he was helping out a friend.

Charlie looked over at Leo - he let out a quietly sighed. The paramedic, treating Leo looked over at Charlie, once he had finished putting a needle into his arm. Some liquid started to flow down the plastic tube into Leo's veins - this made Charlie squirm. Albert - that is the tag, the paramedic was wearing on this high visibility jacket.

-"... You saved his life" Charlie heard this, as someone placed their hand on his shoulder. It was Albert.

-"Huh?" Charlie looked confused, at the paramedic's hand.

-"You saved the kid's life by calling us. He could've not woken up but you called us just in time" announced Albert, as he wrapped a reflective blanket around Leo. Charlie just nodded his head - directing his eyes to his phone.

A few minutes passed, the ambulance was approaching the entrance to the Royal London Hospital. Upon arrival - the back doors opened, and Charlie was asked to step out of the ambulance first. Another hand grabbed him. This time it was another man, who was also wearing a high visibility jacket - however this man had a bright blue sign on the back on his jacket. Charlie sounded it out in his head, "Police".

-"I didn't do anything!" He started shaking, when he looked into the officer's eyes.

-'I-I helped him! He was alone, I don't want to be in trouble." Charlie continued to scream, when another officer approached him, and grabbed his other arm. He came down - to Charlie's level and looked into the boy's eyes.

-"Everything is fine, Kid. You're not in trouble - we do, however need to have a short conversation with you."

-"O-Okay" Charlie seemed to calm down. For a second, he thought that the police was going to blame him for everything that happened to this boy.
When Leo was taken out of the ambulance, a few nurses and a doctor rushed him into a room - Charlie and the two police officers had followed quite close behind them. They were asked to wait outside of Leo's room as checked over the boy for any damage.

-"I know this might be hard for you, but we need your help" Said one of the officers, as he sat down on a chair outside the room. Charlie joined in, and sat down beside him.
-"I-I don't know what happened. I just seen him in the park, I didn't touch him..." He begins to say, when a hot cup of coffee is placed into his right hand. He takes a quick drink of it.
-"And what is your name?" The officer asks, as he writes something down on a piece of paper.

-"My name is Charlie, Charlie Lenehan"

-"Okay Charlie, and how did you end up in the park" Is the next question that comes out of the officer's mouth.
-"I was walking home... from school, like I usually do. I took the way through the park, and I seen a group of boys. They ran... as soon as they saw me, that's when I saw him" He nods his head towards the small room.

-"Okay, that's fine Charlie. Is there anyone we can call? The hospital has already informed the boy's parents"

-"No, I've told mine where I was heading. It's all good."

A doctor popped his head out of the door to Leo's room. Ne nodded towards Charlie and the officer, Charlie stood up - the doctor had left his line of sight. Charlie had walked into the small room, in which he saw Leo. He didn't dare to sit down beside the boy, in-case that scared him.

-"Who are you? Where am I?" He could hear the words coming out of the younger boy's mouth. He didn't know how to answer the boy, so he just stared at his beautiful, brown eyes.
-"Did you do this?" Leo let out another gasp, as he tried to move his arm up.

-"No. I was the one who called an ambulance for you..." Charlie replied, a little shocked. The smaller boy's voice had penetrated him.
-"I'm sorry... thank you." Leo whispered, as a small tear fell down his cheek.

-"It's alright, don't worry... May I?" Charlie looked over at the seat next to Leo's bed. He placed his hand on it.

-"Yeah, sure" Leo nodded, as he smiled at Charlie.
-"I'm Charlie, by the way." He says, as he offers his hand to Leo.
-"Leondre, but you can call me Leo." He says, shaking the boy's hand
The two boys sat down, talking for a while - Charlie had explained to Leo what he saw and how it all happened. How Leo ended up in the hospital bed. They started to bond quite quickly. Although, Charlie didn't get bullied - they have a lot in common with each other. After some time passed, a woman had arrived at the hospital. She approached Leondre's room in a hurry - to see if he was okay. It was his mother.

-"Leo!" She rushed into the room, not giving any notice to Charlie. She bent over him and gave him a hug. "Are you okay?!" She said quite loud, as she checked over the boy's body.
-"I should get going then" Charlie decides to get up, as he looks over at Leo. This makes his mother jump up, she quickly moves her eyes to Charlie.
-"I didn't notice you... you must be...?" She says, walking over to Charlie.

-"Charlie. He's my friend" Leondre says, as he gives the older boy a slight grin.

-"Um. Yeah, ny name is Charlie, I notified the ambulance about Leo" He looks over at the boy, "As I said, I should get going. I will come and see you tomorrow, yeah?" he quickly adds.
-"Thank you" Leo's mother gives Charlie a quick hug.

-"You should come and see me tomorrow" Leondre budges in. "Can you give me your number?" He says, when he sees Charlie approaching the door.
-"I thought you'd never ask" Charlie laughs as he writes down a phone number on a bit of paper which he leaves beside Leo's bed. "Goodnight" he says, giving Leo a final glance.

As Charlie is leaving the Emergency Ward inside the hospital, he gets approached by someone outside. It's a girl around his age. They both smile at each other, as she wraps her arms around the boy. She leaves a kiss on his lips.

-"Your mother called me, she was worried that something happened to you" she says, and she receives a tight hug from the boy.

-"I was only helping a friend out, Anna. No need to worry. I would never get into trouble." He smiles, kissing her back.
-"Oh, really?" She laughs, as she grabs the boys hand. They both start walking towards his house.
-"Then I'll keep an eye on you, until you get into your house" She says, as she places here head on the boys shoulder. "Who is this friend, anyway? Do I need to be jealous?" she asks.

-"His name is Leondre, why would you need to be jealous over a guy, Anna?"
-"Well, you can't ever be sure." She replied, leaving another kiss on the boy's cheek. Charlie hears a buzz in his pocket. He takes out his phone an unlocks the screen. He looks over the new text message and lets out a small smile. Anna is looking over his shoulder, and she taps him on the shoulder.

"Are you sure, that I shouldn't be jealous?" She asks, letting out a small giggle.

"You are so annoying, that's why I love you." Charlie sighs, and once again kisses her on the cheek.
