Chapter Four - The Recovery

Vienna's POV

We were allowed out of the hospital at last. It had been two days but finally Liam, Safa, Harry and me were allowed to leave. Harry was staying to be with Kathryn, but Liam, Safa and I decided to check into a local hotel. 

The hospital was huge, and extremely crowded, so I was really glad to be leaving. The hotel we were meant to stay in in Florida were aware of the crash, but we had to figure out where to go now. Liam had suggested, once everyone was better, to drive somewhere, afterall, no one wanted to go on another plane.

Lyka's POV

I waved goodbye to Vienna, Liam and Safa as they made their way out of the hospital. I was in a wheelchair with a fractured hip and a huge gash down my leg. Zayn was still in his hospital bed, I spent most of my time by his bed. Niall  was also in a wheelchair so we made up some rather entertaining wheelchair games together. I really hoped Zayn's condition would improve enough so that we could get out of the hospital together and go find some nice hotel to stay in for a bit.

Zayn lifted his arm weakly and waved at Liam, who called across to us.

"Get well soon guys! We'll probably come visit you tomorrow!"

Ella's POV

I rarely left Louis' bedside, only when the nurses and doctors made me. He had finally come round and was concious again. He was getting better, slowly but surely. 

"What time is it?" Louis murmured. I glanced down at my watch.

"12.17, daytime. I think it's Monday; we crashed early Saturday morning." I replied. My entire body was throbbing, but I didn't dare tell Louis, he'd only worry and make me go back to my own bed.

"So, how are you feeling now Lou?" I asked, trying to remain cheerful. Louis groaned loudly.

"I hurt." He said. "My head and my chest and my neck and my arms and my legs. Even my eyes hurt Ella." I knew how he felt, I'd been like that when we first arrived. Only it must have been so much worse for him, afterall he was techniqually dead for about a minute. I hated seeing Louis in such a bad condition. There was a silence, neither of us sure what to say.

"Why did you stand up? When the plane was going down, you stood up." I asked finally. I don't know why I asked Louis then, but it had been bugging me the entire time. 

"Dunno to be honest." He sighed. "I just freaked out, you know how much I hate planes. Afterall, YOLO." I laughed trust Louis to say something like that!

Abbie's POV

I woke to the sound of Niall's adorable laugh. He was sat beside me in his wheelchair. Niall was definately making the best of the situation.

"Abbie, you're awake at last!" He exclaimed as if were some sort of miracle. "You're always asleep, and you're no fun when you're asleep! It's a good thing that there's Lyka to mess around with in my wheelchair."

"Oh, I am sorry Nialler, but I can't really help having to spend my days in a hospital bed, I do apologize." I said sarcastically. He stuck his tongue out at me and I stuck mine out back at him.

"The last time I came to a hospital was when Alex broke her foot." Niall said, his voice showing how upset he felt.

Alex was Niall's ex-girlfriend. They went out together a year ago and broke Niall's heart. She'd moved on but poor Niall hadn't gone out with anyone since.

There was an awkward silence for a moment, until Niall farted and burst into hysterical laughter.

"Seriously Niall!" I sighed and rolled my eyes at him.

Safa's POV

"Anyway, I'll come and see you tomorrow Laura, I just had to get out of that hospital. Liam's leant me some money to get a hotel room. As soon as you're allowed out of hospital you can come and stay in the hotel with me." I told my friend Laura through the phone. We always went on holiday together, only this time it hadn't quite gone to plan.

I'd just ended the call with Laura when there was a knock on the door. I opened it to see Liam leaning against the doorframe. 

"Hiya, Vienna and I are ordering some room service food, do you wanna come to our room and have some?" He asked. I smiled, I'd heard that Liam was really thoughtful, and it was true.

"Yeah sure." I replied. Liam grabbed my hand and led me across the corridor to he and Vienna's room, where Vienna was sat peering over a menu.

Laura's POV

I lay in bed reading my magazine. I was bored out of my mind stuck in my hospital bed. Safa was so lucky being in a hotel, I couldn't wait to go join her. There was nothing interesting to do, occasionally Harry or his friend Kathryn would come over and chat to me, but other than that I was by myself. Safa had phoned me earlier through the hospital phone, so that was something. I closed my eyes and tried to get some sleep, although it was hard with all the noise of the busy hospital. I re-opened my eyes to see Harry walking over to my bed. I smiled at him.

"Hi Laura, can I talk to you?" He asked, sitting down on the chair by my bed. 

"Let me guess, it's about Kathryn isn't it?" I laughed and Harry blushed.

Kathryn's POV

Harry and I hadn't mentioned the moment when I woke up, the moment when he kissed me. He had been discharged from hospital but he'd stayed, to be with me. I spent most of my time in bed, talking to Harry, but occaisionally I would get up and go to see Harry's friend Laura, who was oon a bed next to me. She said that all Harry ever spoke about was me, and he was always asking her what I'd told her. Harry was talking to Laura now. I watched as she said something and Harry nodded, then strode over to my bed.

"Kathryn, you heard what I said to you before didn't you?" Harry looked just as embarrassed as I felt. I nodded and he smiled shyly. Oh God he's so hot when he does that smile! 

"Good." He said abruptly, then leant over and kissed me softly on my lips, sending shivers down my spine.
