Laughter from younger students enjoying their first school year rang from the Hogwarts School grounds. A ways away from the bustle of gossiping students and loud peers, sat Alice Liddell and Percy Weasley, close to Black Lake.
Alice had her head in Percy's lap, claiming the day had seemed rather long and she wanted to rest, and Percy quietly read some poetry from a book he kept in one hand by her head. The breeze was calm and swift, only blowing when it seemed needed.
Alice tilted her head away from the clouds she had been shaping into Wonderland creatures with her imagination, and looked over at Percy.
It took some time for Percy to notice, him being engrossed in the book he held. Peeling his eyes away from the paperback book, his blue eyes met Alice's that held a look of amusement. Smiling at him, she was delighted to get a smile back.
They sat quietly, which would be worrying, for everyone had always seen Alice in her wondrous and flamboyant state. Percy and Alice held each other's gaze for what seemed like hours, but really the pair had been lovingly staring for peer minutes.
The gaze was broken by the abrupt voices
of Mr.Rabbit and Cheshire; the two
looking away almost immediately.
Alice and Percy both looked at the ground opposite of them, attempting to hide the blushes covering their faces.
Upon arrival, and seeing their faces, Cheshire smiled deviously and disappeared, only to reappear on Alice's head making Alice jump.
The startled blonde almost screamed at the sudden weight on her head.
Percy looked a mix of amused and concerned as the WonderLand creature appeared.
Taking Cheshire of her cat,
Alice glared half-heartedly at the smirking devil of a cat.
Mr.Rabbit watched as Percy stared lovingly at
Alice and pulled a disapproving look.
(Mr.Rabbit is such a dad tbh)
But watching as Alice looked back at Percy and smiled– and seeing Cheshire's knowing look– he realized that Alice was happy.
And if Alice was happy;Percy was too.
