Chapter 8

Nick sat on a couch in Aunt Cleo's living room running his fingers through his hair angrily. "Nick what's wrong?" Aunt Cleo sat next to him, he looked over at her and sighed.

"Samantha and I got into an arguement...she got mad at me because I was talking to Rae." He said laying back into the couch.

"Rae Emery? Nick you know what that girl did to you, she changed you when you guys were dating. You did some bad things with her." Aunt Cleo said cautiously.

"I know...I don't know what came over me. I made Samantha feel like she wasn't my girlfriend, plus Rae gave me her number." He said rubbing his hands together.

"Nick you're gonna end up losing that precious girl that's probably crying upstairs. " Aunt Cleo said and Nick knew she was right.

"I told her that I should call Rae." He said guiltily and Aunt Cleo glared at him with wide eyes.

"I don't know how I'm gonna get her to forgive me." He said sighing again. "Just tell her the truth." Aunt Cleo advised rubbing his shoulder gently and getting up.

Nick got up and yawned and stretched before making his way up the stairs. It was dark out now and Nick was tired. He opened the door quietly and Samantha was shoving her clothes into her suitcase, she couldn't really see through her tears but she kept shoving her clothes in.

"Samantha...what are you doing?" Nick asked running over to her. "I can't stay here." She said wiping her tears.

"Samantha I-"

"Nick please don't, first you ignore me instead of let me help you when you found out your mom died and then you act like I don't exist and accuse me of acting difficult when you were flirting with your ex. I can't deal with this right now." She said sniffling, Nick shook his head.

"I honestly don't know what to say to fix any of this. I'm sorry I made you feel that way, I was a jerk to you and still am if I let you leave. I love you and I shouldn't have acted like I did earlier. I need you here with me, I never meant to hurt you and I don't want us to break up." He said tears jumping into his eyes.

She turned away from him, "I don't know about us anymore." She said and his heart felt shattered.

"Samantha please..." He begged as she zipped up her suitcase. "I'm going home." She said standing up with her suitcase in hand.

She had made up her mind, she needed to think about them being together if Nick was going to treat her how he had been treating her.

"Fine! Go! Just go." He said in anger and he had tears welling up in his blue eyes.

"I'll see you when you get back." She said grabbing her phone off of the bedside table.

"Don't go...please, I need you here with me." He begged coming over to her and taking her hands in his. He looked into her eyes with warm eyes.

She looked into his eyes and she knew she couldn't leave him. "Please...I won't ever do anything to hurt you ever again." He said gently running his fingers against her cheek. She closed her eyes and took a breath.

She was about to respond but he quickly kissed her. She kissed him back and she dropped her suitcase onto the ground and wrapped her arms around his neck.

He pulled her closer and he kissed her with passion. Samantha felt tingles run through her and so did Nick, he had no idea what he would do if he had lost Samantha.

He pulled her closer and he lifted her up, she wrapped her legs around him and ran her fingers through his hair. "You can't leave." he said gently against her lips.
