Blind dating

Chapter 10

Harry's POV:

As I'm leaving the office, Zayn tells me that he wants to talk to me and clearly explain to me why he dumped me. And I walk with him to our old spot.

"The reason why I also dumped you is because I'm Indian and everything is different." I can tell the he's crying because he keeps sniffing.

He tells me that he made a promise to Liam that he can't break and that he left me not because I'm blind, he says he's afraid that once I can see I won't think he's beautiful.

Later on at my therapist's appointment, I ask Dr. Evans if it's a crime to fall in love and she tells me that it's not a crime because I can't control who I have feelings for. She tells me that the other doctors on their team don't think I want to see so they don't want to do the surgery anymore but she and Dr. Perkins manage to convince them that I really want this.

So here I am, a few days later after all my tests, gassed up on some sleeping pills. Getting prepped for surgery, right before surgery, my family hoping and praying in the waiting room, I smell Zayn's perfume from across the hall before I pass out.

Later that night, I'm in the lab with all the doctors who are on this team and we're trying on the glasses to see if the work. Dr. Perkins turns the glasses on after I tell him that I'm ready and at first all I could see was a blinding light but then I see what Dr. Perkins says is a window which he stands in front of. I see him moving in front of the window and they take me home to see my family for the first time in my life.

Although I can see them in black and white, it's the best thing ever. It beats not seeing them at all, I'd rather have that then not seeing them at all. I can tell from their crying faces that they're happy for me.
