KIM'S P.O.V
"Kim ! Wake up wake up WAKE UP! " I heard Lily shout scream or whatever.
"Mm ...... hmm.." I mumbled in reply
" Get up ! " Alice screamed from the other corner of the room .
" Why ? " I mumbled .
"Because it is your first day and breakfast will get over in an hour . " Mary said combing her hair. As soon as I heard that I jumped out of my bed grabbed my robes and ran into the bathroom where I slipped.
"Ow ! " I groaned and I heard laughter behind me." Not funny ! " I said glaring at them. My back was hurting .
"Here let me help you ." Alice said walking towards me and extending a hand . I gratefully took it still glaring. I thanked her and went into the bathroom. I quickly showered and put my robes on . By the time I went inside all the others were gone. Maybe I was not that quick ,I combed my hair and ran down to the common room where James and Sirius were heading towards the portrait hole.
"Hey ! Sirius. James ! Wait up! " I called out . They turned and smiled and I caught up with them .
"Hey !" Sirius said.
" Hello , So why are you late and where are the others ? " James asked .
"By others he means Lily ." Sirius said looking at me.
"Of course he means that . Lily and the others went on without me because I was not getting up fast. " I said smiling .
" Oh ! So you are a heavy sleeper ? "
"Yup ! Though Lily is not . Even a rat squeaking around her bed would wake her up ! " I said . James and Sirius exchanged amused looks .
"What ? " I asked.
" Nothing . " They chorused . They were lying . Lately I could feel it when someone lies or felt a strong surge of emotion. I frowned . I was used to being lied to.
"Hey you OK ? " Sirius asked .They had obviously noticed me frowning.
"Yeah I am fine . " I said smiling . We reached the Great Hall. I spotted Lily , Alice and Mary waving at me . I smiled and waved back and sat near them.
"Why did you guys leave me alone ? " I put on an offended face while taking eggs and toast.
"We waited for you for fifteen minutes and you still did'nt come out . " Mary explained.
"So ? " I asked .
"So ? " They repeated with a quizzical expression on their faces .
"So you should have waited for me . " I completed and they all face palmed .
"Urgh Kim can you get any lamer ? " Lily asked .
"Yup I can ! " I said
"Well of course you can if Lily 's your cousin . " A girl with brown blond hair and bright smile suddenly said sitting beside me . .
"Marlene ! " They all cried and hugged her .
"Where were you yesterday ? " Mary asked .
"I missed the train ."She explained.
"Well that makes things simpler since I was simply above the train . " I said sarcastically looking at Lily . Marlene looked at me and said
"Hello ,I'm Marlene Mckinnon . Pleased to meet you ." She said extending her hand.
