Chapter 9: The Truth

Kazui's P.O.V

After we got to the mat I was worried for Ichika but she seemed pretty calmed after we got up we waited and Kenpachi broke open the door and then Toshiro hit the two gunmen I knew that wasn't enough I sighed and as I thought the both shot at him but being a captain he dodged it then Ichika's uncle helped out and told us to go and so Ichika, Renji, Rukia, Uryu, Chad, my mum, my dad and I started to run my great was beating fast not just from running but because this was my most important battle and I didn't want to fail, my dad turn to me and told me to go all out so my dad and I put on our other Hallow mask I barely used it my mum was worried about that power I had inherited from my dad apparently if I used it wrong it could take over my body then I'll become a Hallow but I went into intense training with my dad and Kisuke and one of the captains and I have my powers under control now so after that we continued.

Other people came about thirty of them Uryu shot at them and Chad started to beat them up "Roar!" Renji said running his hand over the blade of his Zanpakutō then he extended it then Uryu turned to us "go, we've got this" Uryu said shooting another person in the shoulder my dad turned back to him "are you sure" my dad said out of concern for them "I am a lieutenant of squad six, don't make light of that" Renji seemed annoyed with my dad's comment my dad smiled then Ichika, Rukia, my mum, my dad and I started to run we were getting closer when another thirty of them came my dad flash stepped and went and blocked their bullets Rukia turned to Ichika and me "you have to go it alone from here be careful, ok?" she smiled Ichika and I nodded then we started to run. A few minutes later we saw two figures coming out the door Ichika looked at me I nodded. When we got there it was Reiki and Kiki I was so confused why he was with Kiki? and how come she had her Zanpakutō in her hand without fighting back? but that didn't matter at the time all I knew was we had to take him down and quick "spark to life Kasai!" I yelled then my Zanpakutō was engulfed with flames "liquefy Mizu" Ichika yelled then her Zanpakutō turned into water, I went to attack first but he didn't even move for his guns he just stood there as if he wanted me to hit him then all of a sudden Kiki jumped in front of him "STOP" she said shielding him but I couldn't stop midway because I was charging too fast that's when Ichika wrapped my legs with her Zanpakutō and made me trip I fell right on my face.

Ichika's P.O.V

As we continued more people came, my heart raced every time. Would the next person be Reiki? are we too late? all these questions raced through my mind then are little group grew smaller. We left behind my dad, Uryu, and Chad we continued on as more people came, more questions a raised like why hasn't Reiki come yet I thought he would be the first one. It was down to Kazui and I, we ran as fast as we could then two people appeared out of the building my heart almost stopped Kiki was right in front of my eyes and next to her was the person I've wanted to get my hands on for days Reiki Ikeda now was my chance but I had weird feeling why was he with Kiki? was about to kill her? but she had her Zanpakutō with her but I couldn't ask any questions because Kazui had already revealed his Zanpakutō so I did the same and he attacked first but Kiki jumped in front of Reiki blocking him it looked like Kazui couldn't stop so quickly made my Zanpakutō wrap around his legs sorry I said in my head before I made the hand movements of pulling someone and the Kazui fell face first.

I ran to him "my bad, it looked like you couldn't stop your attack that was the only thing I could think of on the spot" I said helping him up "it's fine my concern is why Kiki stopped me" Kazui looked at Kiki that was what I was thinking, maybe they brainwashed her to fight against us? or maybe she acting to help us out? but the only one who could answer was Kiki I looked at her with a sad expression "as much I as I want you to hurt this jerk, you can't he saved me" Kiki said urgently I was shocked and it looked like Kazui was as well "aw, and here I thought we bonded" Reiki said with a pretend sad "not helping Kiki" Kiki hissed "how did he save you" I was very confused and shock I couldn't believe it him of all people "Reiki was ordered to kill me but he obviously didn't instead he helped me escape and his partner was beating me up but Reiki pulled him off of me and knocked him out" Kiki explained I was watching her expression she wasn't being controlled, she seemed to be telling the truth and I believe her "why didn't you kill her" Kazui asked cautiously that we all weren't getting tricked "our leader I thought he was just going to take the soul king's power from you and help our people as you guys cal us the unknowns but instead he wants to kill you and then take the power to kill the whole soul society but that doesn't agree with me so I'm rebelling against them" Reiki shrugged I was shocked their leader wants to kill the whole soul society "if you're next question is why didn't tell me the plan earlier it's because he doesn't trust anyone he only told me he wants the power and no I didn't ask him anything but only why he knew that the answer I wanted to hear was to help us but I guess since it's the closing curtains he told me the truth" Reiki answered what I was thinking which was freaky but he doesn't seem like he's lying but I still don't like him "fine let's go" Kazui sighed "wait where are you guys going" Reiki looked at us "to defeat your leader" Kazui said with isn't that obvious look "I have a plan" Reiki smiled we all looked at him like he was crazy.

Kazui's P.O.V

Ichika ran to me and helped me up but I was really confused why did Kiki do that so I turned to her, it seemed Ichika was sad I was angrier than sad but I understand she is her best friend. Kiki told us why. She seemed like she was desperate for us to believe her but I was too shocked to believe that he saved her he's too arrogant to help her and proving my point he made a joke Kiki hissed at him still being confused Ichika asked her how he saved her. She told the story and out of curiosity I asked Reiki why he didn't Kill Kiki and he told us for a jerk he actually has morals but still to kidnap someone I was surprised that they also wanted to kill everyone in the soul society and then guessed what we were thinking I could see he was telling the truth I had a feeling this leader guy was worst then Reiki I sighed and we started to leave but Reiki stopped us.

Reiki and I was walking to the door of the leaders room I sighed in the memory of how I got in this situation "why don't we pretend I caught Kazui that would get us in and you two can go through here" Reiki grabbed a stick and quickly drew some directions for Kiki and Ichika "and we when giving you the signal you can come" he smiled it was a good plan because we didn't have enough time we nodded and went separate ways I was in my grade just in case but nothing happened and the plan actually to my surprise "Hey why isn't anyone getting suspicious not that it is a bad thing" I looked at Reiki "because I'm a high ranking officer so they won't question me and if they do I can always kill them" Reiki smiled I glared at them "I'm kidding, I;m kidding" he sad as he opened a door where and a guy in his fifties with white hair and a white robe with blue on the edges "Ah you brought him here, good job Reiki" He smiled "you got the wrong Idea Akihiro, we're here to stop you" Reiki said all big and mighty I was shocked at how stupid that was then he turned to me "I've always wanted to say that just like t.v's" he chuckled "BE SERIOUS" I yelled "ok,ok" Reiki had taken a deep breath then looked serious "no he's right we are he here to defeat you" I said in a fighting stances and then Reiki followed me "Reiki what a shame just like your parents" Akihiro looked disappointed "what are you talking about" Reiki said mad but confused "Oh I didn't tell you I was the one who actually killed them" he smiled I looked at Reiki his face looked like the life had been drained out of him.
