Chapter 13

Skylan just left. He said he had to go talk to Nate and see when the Kings are going to meet up with them so they can try and come to an agreement.
I wonder around the house looking for something to do. Trying to go unnoticed to anyone else here. My stomach growls reminding me I havent eaten in a while, so I walk over to the refrigerator and look for something to make.
I start to make pancakes with eggs and bacon and I play some music to entertain myself. I dance to the music and sway my hips gently and then after a while head someone cough behind me. I squeal and turn around embarrassed and look at who is in the doorway. Someone I have never seen before is standing their shirtless, arms crossed against his chest, tattoos litter his body and hes muscular. Obviously not as muscular as Skylan.
After a few moments I snap out of my daze and notice he was saying something to me. I tilt my head and scrunch up my head letting him know I wasnt paying attention so he can repeat what he had said.
"What are you doing down here all alone little girl? And especially in that outfit."
I look down and realize I'm in Skylans shirt that reaches mid thigh and not much under it. I cover up and blush embarrassed that anyone had seen me wear something so revealing.
The stranger slowly makes his way over to me and I get scared and back up until I hit the counter and that's when I realize I'm stuck in between him and the counter. 'This isnt good ' I thought to myself and mentally curse myself for not moving out of his way before.
He hovers over me. "I'm Gavin."
I wave shyly and look down but he grabs my chin and forces me to look at him and he tries to kiss me. 'Oh gosh this isnt happening' I try to push him away but he holds me still and I struggle against him.
He puts his hand over my mouth and pushes my back against the wall. "Don't scream " he says to me. I struggle against his body weight and cry trying to find someone or something to help me out of this situation. He starts feeling me up, his breath on my neck sickly warms my skin. Then, everything happens so fast. A screech of a car, the heavy doors being slammed, and suddenly Gavins body weight is off me. I run. I bolt in the opposite direction of the now fighting men and try to run as far as I can without being seen.
After a while of running by the edge of the woods I start to get tired and slow down. It's getting colder in the night and I have no place to call for help and I don't want to risk finding a house to knock because somehow, they found me before. I don't want anyone hurt and certainly don't want to be caught. I walk into the base of the woods and find a nice spot for me to rest for the night before I have to wake up and run again. I lay against a tree and slowly fall asleep.

I'm the morning I'm awoken by men talking. They sound like they are getting closer so I'm on high alert. I slowly get up and look around but don't see anyone in view so I decide to run like hell in the opposite direction of the men.
"There she is boss!" Someone yells behind me. As I'm running I look back to see five big men running towards me. As I turn my head back I smash into what felt like a soft tree, but then on impact arms came around me and held me against them.
I started screaming and thrashing around trying to get out of the strangers hold. To scared to look and see who it was, all I knew was it was one of them. And then I heard the familiar voice and words of the stranger holding me in their arms.
"Shh little one it's okay, you're safe. "
