Chapter 11

I was speeding. Not caring if Dick sent his goons after me, not caring that he has to find a way to cope with what he saw. I do, however, feel regret that I had to leave Jason with Bruce. As much As I would like for him to come with me. I just couldn't allow him to die again, not because of me.

I looked down at my phone and sighed. Jason has been calling non-stop. I knew he was going to chew me out,I looked through my rearview mirror and saw that a pair of headlights right on me. I sped off, my phone went off again, but the number is unknown.

When I answered, I swore.

"Paris..! Bruce wants you to regroup so that we can plan this thoroughly. " I hear Selina.

I bit my lip and rolled my eyes. Fighting my tears."I'm sorry Selina. I have to do this on my own. This is something way bigger than Gotham and Bat."

"I know that you've seen your step mother." Selina began. I can hear her sniffling. Was she crying? "But did you know that she made me promise to keep you safe and alive . There's no telling if you'll come back alive or not, and Paris - You are the closet thing to a daughter I have ever had,and Maggie would miss you. I need you to come back, please."

The next turn I took, I made a U-turn and went back to Wayne Manor. My hands gripping the wheel until my hands glowed purple. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Before I knew it, I felt heat and pain coming at me all at once....

"I can't find her car anywhere. There was an explosion just by Miami voice poetic club." Tim explained. Selina was on her feet, pacing back and forth. Her eyes glued to the big screen that once showed a red cat marker.

"There's no use in finding her," Dick said, before being stared down by Jason and Apollo from across the room. He can see the pain that was on Jason's face. He remembered seeing Paris with that same hurtful look in her eye. "We don't know if she was able to leave in time or not. "

"That doesn't mean shit to me." Jason said, while grabbing his jacket and helmet. "I should've went with her."

Before Apollo could speak, something had caught his eye. The feint sound of a falcon had flew by the building and traveled westward. Then he had heard the screeching sound of an screeching owl.

"Did you see something?" He looked over at Superman and then out to the window.

"I've seen a owl flying by." Apollo pointed out. Diana practically ran to the window and frowned.

"....Dick, " Everyone perked at the sound if the silent radio coming to life. "Oracle... it's Donna, I've found her,but she's heavily guarded."

"By what?" Bruce asked. Jason was standing by the window until he had seen a purple mist hovering the the western part of Gotham.

" We should go over there. I'm assuming Hades is making his Grand appearance." Jason nods, before slipping out the window. Diana had flown with the duo and held Jason's arm.

"Hades has blocked Donna from touching Athene. He wants to protect her also," Diana spoke , Jason looked over at the cloud and saw that it was gone.

"I never liked the name Athene." A man dressed in a black. Suit said to me. His hand cradling mine, and the moment he looked into my eyes, they glowed purple. "It's too mundane for a girl of your grace. "

I looked around and saw nothing. Everything was dark. He wanted to talk to me alone. " When Persephone informed me about your arrival, I was saddened. I wanted to see the woman you've become for myself. I had her go in my stead. Her description was impeccable. You truly look like a nymph of chaos."
