This is dedicated to pikachulover99 because she was doing "The Fault in Our stars" nails for me when i was writing this. Thanks, girl. (Even though you didn't finish.)

At school, girls were pushing and pulling on each other at the main door. Curiously, I make my way through the crowd and outside. To my horror, Kyle is leaning against his Lamborghini. I look over at Kacie, who is giggling to herself like a lovesick puppy. I groan.

"Dude, who is that?" Nate shows up out of no where and ask. Lately, he's been sticking around with us.

I shrug and casually make my way out of the building, ignoring Kyle and his hard stare.

"Hey." He says nonchalantly. I roll my eyes and walk towards my bike. I feel like burning it. I don't want to remember the horrible memories from yesterday.

"Cheri. Come on, I'm sorry about last night."

"Wait... What happened last night? You didn't tell me anything about this, Solace. Solace!" Kacie whispers- screams.

"I told you not to come to my school, Kyle." I tell him when the mob of screaming fan girls seem to be out of sight.

"But I miss you." he teases. I pretend to gag.

"Who is this guy?" Nate asks. I don't answer him. I am way too tired to be talking to or about guys.

"I need to go home. Come on, Kacie."

"Bur... Solace..." she whines.

"I don't know about you, but I'm leaving. Bye." I start walking, hoping that she does decide to follow me. She looks at Kyle and then back at me, then runs to me.

"You still have to tell me what happened last night."

"Nothing happened. He just passed out, that's it. I don't want to be the one there when he passes out again tonight." I shiver at the thought of Kyle passing out on me twice. I hastily get on my bike and ride off, Kacie joining me a second later.

"Don't you think he likes you, Solace?"  I try my best not to laugh.

"Kyle? Likes me? Yeah, right."

"No, I think you both like each other. Mutual feelings?"

"Yeah. Mutual feelings of hate." I chuckle at her creativeness. How in the world could we possibly bring ourselves to like each other? Even if there was only two of us left on this earth, I wouldn't associate with him.

"Hmm. Well then I guess it isn't mutual, but he likes you."

"And you're totally wrong about that."

"He does! I know he does! Just think about it, though. You guys could fall in love and then get married, you'll be queen! You can sit there and do nothing! You'll be showered with dresses, jewelry, and love... From Kyle!"

"Who wants love from Kyle? Who wants to sit around and do nothing?"

"Everyone but you." she mutters, thinking that I didn't hear.

"Rhetorical question." I say.

"Oops. Sorry."

We both rode home in silence, only saying bye when we split roads. Setting my book bag on my bed, I pick up the envelope on my bed. Opening it slowly, I reach for the note inside.

"Dear  Solace,

I am very sorry for the sudden arrangement, but the king and queen have been asked to stay at a mansion in France for two weeks in order to discuss plans. There are no maids provided for them, therefore we packed and left. I will leave Kyle in your hands. Of course, you won't be home alone. Ms. Zimmerman is still going to be there. Please treat them well.

Love, Mom."

oh my goodness. Sweet potato fries, no.

Yes, there is an adult staying with us, but Ms. Zimmerman can get drunk and wasted in a matter of thirty seconds.

Frustrated and scared-to-death, I call Kacie.

"I thought you didn't want to talk about guys. I knew you would always come back for more gossip."

"No! This isn't about guys. I mean, yes. But-" I stop, since i was panicking and needed to take a deep breath."Okay, so, my mom, i mean everyone, had to leave for France and they left Kyle and I alone in the same house."

"Alone? Two of you guys?"

"Well, we have an adult, Ms. Zimmerman..." i can hear Kacie groan on the other side,"... But she gets drunk and passes out before you could say drink."

"Oh. Great. Let's have a party!"

"No, no party! We are not going to have a party while the king and queen are away on an important conference in France!"

"But come on! This is a once in a lifetime chance! We could throw the most perfect party ever! We can invite the whole school and be one of the popular kids!"

"I don't want to be popular. I need to stay home and study."

"You can stay home. You just can't study." She says matter-of-factly. I groan.

"Kacie, this isn't what I called for. I need help. We're alone."

"You'll be fine. Why are you worried? He's only a childhood friend... Right?"

"Yeah. Yeah, he is." I take a deep breath. I'm taking this way too seriously."Okay, thanks. I'm good. Just panicked."

"Okay. I'll see you later. Bye."

"Bye." I groan and hang up. I slam my phone onto my bed and flop onto the bed beside it. I just really want to sleep. Or rest. I don't know why I've been feeling so... Tired this week. Probably because of Kyle. He made me grow gray hairs!

A knock makes me wake up from my thinking and my potential nap.

"Who is it?" I ask, sitting up on the bed.

"It's me, Cheri."

"Go away, Kyle."

"You know, that is a terribly rude thing to say to a future king. I ought to have you beheaded." He says majestically. I roll my eyes.

"I'll treat you like a king-to-be when you act like a king-to-be." I retort. Suddenly, the door swings open. Kyle stands at my door, crossing his arms.

Then I realize that he's shirtless. Without his shirt on, I can see the carefully sculpted abs. Flawless muscles  bulge up. I gulp.

I direct my stare from his abs to his face, hoping he didn't see me  checking him out. From the smirk on his face, I blush. He knows. Idiot! Idiot! Idiot, Solace!

Mentally slapping myself, I finally find words to say.

"Get out of my room. And put a shirt on."

"Sorry, but you were the one gauging your eyes at my abs."His smirk gets bigger when he discovers my embarrassment.

"You conceited devil."  I mutter.

"Anyways, I heard from a little birdy that everyone's gone? And that you're my personal maid for the week?"

"Who said that?"

"Your mom." As soon as he said that, I feel back onto my bed and groan. I hate my life.

"Don't worry. I'll treat you well."

I totally doubt that.

Okay, so for some reason, "I'll treat you well." sounds really awkward. I need another phrase! Someone help!

Sooooo... Hmmm. You'll see some improvement between those two soon.  :3
