close your eyes
lay down your head
it might be scary
but you need your rest
the nightmares may come
but don't fear them too much,
because when you wake in fear

the night brings darkness
fear and dread,
but it also brings moonlight,
star bright and fairies dancing in your head
so let the night come my dear,
ill be right here, don't you fear
the dark cannot touch us,
the fear shan't come in
these four walls protect us
in the end our embrace shall win
the night may be filled with nightmares
but the light shall chase them away
in the early dawn of the morn'
after the sun has made its nights journey
light shall filter in through the blinds
and wake us gently and early
you will wake, and it will be light
and you will realize you have survived another night
