dear wren,

i started thinking about the phrase 'carpe diem' today.

latin is such an interesting dead language, don't you think? i was planning to take a course for it in college, but i'm not sure i'll get that chance.

anyways, i presume you know that carpe diem means seize the day.

i have a nurse who is really cool, her name is violet. i constantly talk to her nowadays, she's very understanding and intelligent.

me being lazy and eternally hungry, i commonly nag about having to do much of anything.

but she doesn't take it, no. she always just says 'carpe diem' and walks away.

wren, how do i 'carpe diem' when i know how near my end is?

 -grace.
