27 Minutes Later...
"Okay. We're here. Get some rest." Lindsay said as we pulled into the worn down driveway. "Thanks for the ride" I said as I opened the door. Lindsay gave a nod, shut the door, and took off. I tiptoed to the front door since everyone was probably asleep. I opened the door real quietly. It creaked. I flinched. As I shut the door, I heard a noise say "Young lady, why were you out this late? It's 11:57." I jumped 5 feet in the air in pure horror. "Oh hi M-o-o-m. Uh Linds-s-ay broke her leg-g so I went-t to the hospital-l with her-r." I said shakily. "Uh huh. Sure. What's that behind your back?" my mom said pointing to the game. "Umm. It's the Sims 3. I know you said I couldn't get it but that was because I wanted you to pay for it. But, I bought this game so why does it matter?" I said. "How much was it?" she asked. "$40" I muttered. "How much? I couldn't hear you." she said twisting her ear towards me. "$40." I said sternly. "Holy Shamony. Where did you get all that money just to pay for a tiny little dumb game??" she yelled at the top of her lungs. "Um, I uh danced for it." I said nervously. "Like, ballet??" she asked. "Uh huh" I said loud enough so she could hear me. "I do not know what's gotten into you lately, Jessica Lynn Anderson." she grunted. "Do not call me that!" I growled and stormed away. "Your grounded from electronics, going places, and friends for 3 days" she yelled as I slammed the old wooden door with a THUD!!
