Summer Vibes

Well it is the second week of summer and I'm bored. Lily went away on some trip to see her cousin. Luckily she is getting back today. My dad and I have basically just been hanging around the house and taking some photos together. This summer is supposed to be pretty laid back. I'm really just trying to do things that I like for once. 

    Right when I was about to turn on the TV the doorbell rang. 

"I'LL GET IT!" I yelled to my dad

    When I opened my door Lily burst in and hugged me right away.

"Well hello to you too." I said giggling.

"I missed you so much Sam. Colorado was actually fun. But girl my cousin is so hot. Sometime I wish were weren't related."

"Lily! You guys are related that is disgusting, stop daydreaming!" I nudged her shoulder trying to get her out of her thoughts.

"No, no, no! Sam you don't understand. He is perfect, PERFECT FOR YOU!" She practically screamed in my ear. 

"Haha okay Lily."

"Sammmmmm."

"Lily he lives in Colorado and I just got out of a really shitty relationship." I said sitting down on the couch.

"What if I told you he doesn't live in Colorado...."

"Lily?"

"HE'S MOVING HERE!!!!!" Lily grabbed my arm and started jumping into the car.

"You seem happy lol. Please just don't get into a secret relationship with your cousin when he comes. I don't need anymore drama."

"That is nasty Sam. I think you guys should date..." Lily said winking at me.

"Haha okay I think you have spent too much time in the mountains."

    The next day Lily left after spending the night. She wouldn't stop talking about her cousin. She said something about him being here tomorrow. It does take about two days, so her math is correct. I have never met this boy before though. For all I know he could be a total freak. All she said was he is hot and single. We will see if he is here tomorrow...

ETHAN'S POV

    Well her I am moving to Los Angeles. We've been wanting to move out there for a while because my mom wants to be closer to her sister. She always says how much she misses California; where she grew up. A few days ago my cousin was here. Lily. All she would ever talk about was her best friend named Samantha I think it was. It's like she was trying to set us up together which is crazy. 

    Getting pulled out of my thoughts I saw the Hollywood sign and my little sister screaming frantically.

"ETHAN ETHAN ETHAN!!!! Look it's that sign thingy that's in movies!" Chloe said jumping up and down over and over again.

"Haha yes it is Chloe."

    The rest of the drive consisted of my sister freaking out. She loves Cali just as much as my mom does. Probably even a little more.

    After driving around for another half hour we turned into a neighborhood. It was beautiful. It wasn't loud or busy. I could actually see myself living here. Next thing I knew we were turning into a driveway. This is home now.

SAMANTHAS'S POV

    I was reading on the deck when a little girl came up to me saying hello.

"Hello, I'm Chloe and I'm your new neighbor!!" She said a little to excited.

    Looking around I saw a moving truck just across the street. "Well hello Chloe. I'm Sam. It's nice to meet you." I said smiling shaking her hand.

"I'm from Colorado!"

"Haha that's awesome sweetie. My best friend has family who lives in Colorado."

"CHLOE COME HERE!!!!" I heard a deeper voice yell from across the street. I looked over seeing a tall boy who seemed my age. He was swearing basketball shorts and a tighter hoodie. He had a dirty blonde hair. He seemed super fit and really cute...

    Next thing I knew the little girl ran back to the truck. I made eye contact with the boy for a good two minutes until I went into the house. I need to call Lily right away!

ETHAN'S POV

    While unloading the truck Chloe ran away.

"CHLOE COME HERE!!!!" I yelled seeing her talking to another girl on her porch. When I looked more closely at the girl she was absolutely beautiful. She had long brown hair. She was wearing shorts and a baseball T-Shirt. She seemed different. We made eye contact for a long time until she went inside... This is going to be interesting. I need to call Lily.

"Lily!"

"Yes Ethan? Are you finally in Cali?" My cousin said sounding busy.

"Yes we are, but I just saw the pretti----" I was cut off

"Hold up I'm getting another call."

SAMANTHAS'S POV

"Lily I just saw the cutest boy he moved across the street!"

"No Sam! We went over this. You have to have a cute relationship with my cousin."

"But he is gorgeous...."

"Wait one second someone else is on the other line." Lily said putting me on hold. Jesus this girl is always busy.

ETHAN'S POV

"Hey Ethan I'm back. What did the girl look like?"

"Well she had this amazing long brown hair and the brownest eyes. Plus the prettiest smile." I said remembering the beautiful girl on the porch.

"Wait? Where did you move again?" Lily said seeming confused.

    After talking on the phone for a little bit she asked about where we moved -- which made no sense because we were talking about this girl -- she hung up. Lily is somewhat crazy at times. She goes on certain subjects on and off. 

    When she hung up all I could think about was that girl and how amazing she seemed... What the hell was I thinking. I just moved here and she is way out of my league... But, that won't stop me. 

SAMANTHAS'S POV

"Well Samantha..."

"Yes?" I said confused after being on hold for 10 minutes.

"That was my cousin Ethan. He lives in your neighborhood." And with that Lily hung up the phone.

    After I put the phone down I crept over the my couch. I moved my curtains out of the way looking at the house next door. There he was. Playing basketball.... What am I going to get myself into I thought sitting on the couch... Oh god. Let the summer begin.
