The pink Lily dances her dance in the light of day

surrounded by friends and family

the clearing she claims serene and beautiful with a soft summer breeze

a silver rose dances with her too

the friends laugh together with something just beneath the surface

as the day draws close and the moon shines in the night

a black hellebore approaches from the forest

he finds The pink Lily and dances his dance

a sad, poisonous thing from the true him

sometimes she dances back to him too

he looks to The Lily for more than a friend

the moon sinks and the sun peeks

so he stills but stays not too far

the silver rose greets his old friend the hellebore with a smile

the rose doesn't understand him but knows him

the hellebore twists and turn in a game of lies he doesn't know and they say goodbyes

the rose greets the lily and the two unearth the thing that they danced around

the two join in a beautiful dance with something in their eyes

once again the moon glows her brightest as the hellebore stirs

he greets the lily and once again dances from the true him

the lily just shakes her head the hellebore wilts and runs to the edge of the clearing

fighting the temptation he stays in the clearing and watches

day after day the rose and the lily twist and turn in a new dance that is only between the two

knowing what had happened the hellebore resigns and decides to nurture them too

one day he might dace his dace with the lily again but not his little secret dance
