When I woke up, I had a big bruise on my foot. I quickly put on my shoes so no one would see, then tried to stand up. Then I immediately fell back down. It hurt, a lot. I stood up again, this time a lot more carefully, and a little slower. It didn't hurt nearly as much as when I just stood straight up without care. There isn't currently any new news about the person with the Black Plague I hope no one in my family gets it.
I decided to continue working on the wall today. I had two fingertip to fingertip arm lengths of the wall done, but it was only a little below my hips. Now it is almost to my shoulders. It will be a while before it is finished, but it will be worth it.
I suddenly heard Melody calling my name excitedly. "Armen! Armen! Come look!" I stood up, carefully, and went over to the barn, where Melody was jumping up and down with her doll in one hand and pointing inside with the other. Once I got in there, I saw what she was pointing at. Helen, our only hen that would sit, had hatched five eggs. She was standing between Melody and here babies, but stepped a little to the side when she saw me. I told Helen I was going to check to make sure they were healthy, then picked each up and gave them quick checkups. "Look good, I think they are all girls. Nice job, Helen" Melody sat and watched them happily until dinner.
