THE CREATURES

The storm was still raging. The thunder was louder than ever and the lightning was as bright as the daylight in the morning, so it had no trouble lighting up Samantha Lockwood’s small house

“Mum! I told you we should have moved to Seychelles instead of Canada! It’s so cold here!!” Complained Samantha.  Samantha was a 15 year old girl. She had long black hair and a slight side fringe. Like most 15 year olds. She was in high school, and had regular high school problems. Sometimes she was bullied, sometimes she was alone, and sometimes she was lost where nobody could help or even care enough to worry...

“I have told you a bunch of times Samantha, we moved to Canada because you relatives are here and they said that because of the resent “problems” you had, it would be good if when we went out you would never be alone” her mum replied giving Samantha “the eye”

“Ugh! Mum, I told you, I don’t want those crazy people around me!! They are half of the reason I had those problems!!”

Recently Samantha had gone through depression, until her parents had caught her cutting her arm, her parents were so shocked when they saw the bright red arms and the long slashes across the skin which used to be a beautiful light toffee brown. Now her arms were nothing but newly formed scabs and white seems.

Samantha looked down at her arm and sighed, before she moved closer to her small heater which hardly projected anything.

Today was her first day at her new school. She wasn’t scared; she wasn’t worried.  And she didn’t care what people would say. She really didn’t care at all. She was too lost in her thought of her old life as a child… she was happy…she didn’t have a care...But that’s all changed.

She reached the school, and only got a few “new girl stares” she looked at them back blankly not giving anyone any insight of her personality or life.

“Hey!” said a Stanger from behind her. Samantha turned around to see a tallish blond boy with the most amazing blue eyes she had ever seen. His skin was lightly sun tanned and he had the sweetest look his eyes. You could almost see his muscles through his uniform. He was incredible!! She looked up at him stunned. (“Oh wow! He’s so hot! And he’s talking to me! ”) “uh, hi!” she replied with her face slowly getting red.

“So uh, you must be new, right?” he said giving a bright and shining smile. “I am, my name is Samantha and I just moved here from Australia” she said fixing her fringe trying to make herself a little more presentable.

“Wow, that’s really cool! Oh and I’m Jason, would you like me to show you around? I know the most about this school”

“Yes please!” Samantha’s face lit up “ha-ha ok come on cutie” Samantha blushed bright red and looked down trying to hide her face.

Jason went through the entire school showing her every inch of the school.

“And this is the very last class room, the only room that hasn’t been changed!”

He opened the brown peeling door which revealed the small old dusty room.

“This room hasn’t even been used by anyone since this place was made a school!” Jason exclaimed as he threw his arms into the air, he smiled at Samantha and pulled her into the room. The whole room was freezing cold with a haunted feel that lingered in the air of the room...
