"C'mon, you guys go on in five" a small voice peeked through on the other side of the dressing room door with a knock. It was the band's manager, Jasper. She was a tall skinny and angular twenty-two year old with a 80's batcave traditional gothic style. The band, formally known as Spit String, were going to be opening for a special Halloween show tonight; that is if they get off their lazy asses. "Guys!" she called out again, a bit louder this time. Scott, the band's lead guitarist got up and opened the door for her, his long caramel hair flowing behind him. "Everything is set up and ready, do you have everything?" she asked giving each of them water bottles as all five of them funneled out of the door and into the main hall.
"Yeah" Wolff, the singer, laughed. Wolff always talked with confidence and walked about like he owned the place, he had an ego as big as big as Scott's forehead. And he adopted the nickname 'Wolff' after his last name, because his first name which was Brian "wasn't cool enough" for him.
"You guys will do great, its a full house so don't get nervous out there" she assured them. Really, the only one that got nervous was Mikey. He was the band's drummer and the youngest member. He fiddled with his drumsticks as they waited behind the stage.
Vixen and Alexandra, close female friends to the band, came running up to them. They acted as groupies and usually went to all of their shows. "Good luck Mikey!" Vixen squealed as she gave him a hug. Everyone knew that she had the biggest crush on him and so did Ducky, Draven's room mate. Draven played rhythm guitar and looked after Ducky and his friend Dixie. Ducky was an alcoholic and Dixie had anxiety and paranoia problems, and both of them loved to dress up as clowns.
"Yeah, we'll be watching you guys in the crowd" Alexandra smiled, looking at Scott. They had a thing for each other but didn't know it, and it was kinda weird because they looked like twins. They were both tall and lanky, had long caramel colored hair, bushy eyebrows, and both covered in tattoos. Accept Scott had a goatee and Alexandra had four black and red dreads and ridiculously big teased hair.
"Ok, you guys need to go on like now" Jasper told them and they started to head for the stage.
"Wait!" Vixen yelled out and they all paused. "We're still going to Draven's house after for the party, right?" She asked excitedly.
"Yeah, dude" Draven confirmed and they all went on.
They played a pretty solid hour show of nonstop thrash. They did their usual crazy acts onstage like Wolff pretending to slit his throat open and splatter fake blood out into the crowd and they threw Bones, the quiet bass player, out into the crowd as a 'sacrifice' and the crowd goes crazy. They all fled the stage and the headlining band came on played.
"Fuck, that was a good show" Scott panted and they all went backstage to get their things.
"OH MY GOD, WOLFF" they all heard a teenage boy screaming from behind them. It was two groupies that they always see hanging out in the crowd, they looked to be about fifteen or sixteen years old. "CAN YOU GUYS SIGN THIS?!" The kid asked with excitement and handed him a flyer that was promoting tonight's show.
"Yeah dude" Wolff smiled and signed both of the boy's flyers, along with the rest of the band.
"WE'VE BEEN FOLLOWING YOUR TOUR FOR THE LAST YEAR" the other teen fanboyed and smiled up at them.
"Oh, thanks for your support dude" Wolff told them as they tried to get out of the venue and go home.
"CAN WE PLEASE GET A PICTURE??" they asked and pulled out their phones. Wolff was the only one that stopped for them and snapped a quick photo.
"I'll see you around, but we gotta get going" he tried to explain and he caught up with the rest of the band. The two boys followed closely behind and snapped pics of them without them knowing.
Alexandra, Vixen, and Jasper all met them at their crappy tour van and helped pack all their gear into the back and they all drove off in the van with Nine Inch Nails blasting through the shitty speakers.
