Poppet carefully walked into the entrance of the tent, in fear that it would collapse at any moment.

Hundreds of people, all dressed very formally, sat on unsteady stands. Cheering, eating, laughing, and all in a comfortable ease. None noticed the burns in the roof of the tent, or the dried blood that was only partially soaked into the dirt, not even the fact that many unnatural people stood at the sidelines. All their eyes were fixed on a thin boy. With dark hair covering his eyes, a striped suit, and a top hat.

Jude...?

No it couldn't be She thought to herself. His fathers a. . . butcher man.

The wheels in Poppets odd head turned. Gaining speed and thought with every second.

She watched as Jude pulled back the sheet on the table. Making each volunteer disappear one by one. His grin getting wider with each time.

Butcher man.

At last, Jude bowed and informed everyone in the stands of the great feast that was prepared to celebrate the reopening of the all Fun filled Carnival.

Butcher man.

After that everything went dead silent. Poppet blocked out everything, and the only sound left was her heartbeat. Slowly increasing.
And all his words played in her head..

It used to really bother me. He had said. The squeals of the pigs were so loud. . .sometimes it scared me. But after hearing it my whole life I guess I just got used to it.

They were his pigs. They were the world's finest pork.

Poppets heart was beating so fast. The words kept repeating. Swirling in a big tornado in her brain. Echoing like a weeping ghost.

Swirling so much that she was dizzy. The carousel of thoughts was going too fast, and it knocked Poppet right off her feet.

Bare arms caught her, and her nose touched a striped vest.

"Poppet? What are you doing here." Jude looked down at her, his face occupying a concerned look.

Her eyes were wide. And for the first time in Poppets life, she saw a monster. A true monster in an angelic form.

All she could manage to rasp out was six simple words.

"To try the worlds finest pork."
