Tragedy

I stare at the fire, the doom, the death
The curse of never ending wrath
The catastrophe that has my heart in tatters
I run from the wreck like nothing else matters
Ignoring the screaming, the voices inside
I don't ever look back, the minutes passing in time
The misfortune, affliction, the adversity at bay
I turn and run back, with nothing in my head but dismay
