Chapter 7
Annabeth looked at Percy. He was very hot. His black hair was swept over his eyes, wearing blue Ray-ban, plain white shirt, clinging to his muscular body, under a leather jacket. He was also using an iPod listening to music with earbuds..
Her eyebrow twitched in annoyance. “We’re going on a quest, not a photoshoot.”
“There’s no use to helping it Annabeth. He’s Hera’s son.”
“And I thought, Aphrodite’s children are the most fashionable ones.”
“W-Well… about that… I don’t know if it affected Hera’s children too…”
“She’s not even supposed to have a demigod child… oh, right, this guy’s not a demigod.” She ran up to him and pulled his earbuds.
“What’re you doing?” Percy glared at her, removing his Ray-ban.
“Don’t use technology, it attracts monsters, right?” She said standing on her toes to look at his green eyes. Before she knew it, she was gazing at those emerald orbs absently.
“For demigods, yes, but for me, a god, it’s not dangerous, am I right Grover?” He looked at Grover with a glare. The satyr has no choice but to oblige, as he was commanded by Dionysus.
“Y-Y-Yes!! That’s so right! I mean, yeah….right, Percy…” Grover said chewing on his cans nervously.
“We aren’t close enough for you to call me Percy. Call me Lord Perseus.”
“Y-Yes, Lord Perseus.”
“What kind of people this days, just suddenly tell others to call them Lord!?”
“Shut up, Annabelle.” Percy said looking above them, ignoring Annabeth’s protests about her name.Percy and Annabeth, aren’t talking to each others, they have mad expressions on their faces.
“Um…” Grover decided to break the silence. “Do any of you know where to go?”
“Maybe, Prince Perseus, here should have asked Argus to take us there, don’t you think, Grover?” She said the ‘prince’ in a mocking manner.
“Maybe if Wise Girl, would use her brain powers for once, she won’t have to depend on Argus to take us somewhere, right, Grover?” He said with his oppressing tone. Grover shivered.
“A peacock?” Grover said walking to a peacock that was looking at them.
“Oh great. What now?”
The peacock clucked at Percy, he nodded and picked it up. “A guide from Hera. Where’s your owl now, Wise Girl?”
Annabeth’s eyebrow twitched again. “We’re going to listen to a peacock?”
“Annabeth, it’s from Hera. She won’t put danger on her own son, won’t she?” Grover said rubbing the peacock.“Told ya.” Percy, Annabeth and Grover emerged from the forest which they were lost and finally, got into a city. “Where are we?”
“The Big Apple.” Percy smirked, and wore his ray-ban again.
“New York.” She looked around, walking, her eyes hit someone, a beautiful girl with a youthful face, brown hair with bouncing curls. Percy smiled at her.
“You guys look like his majesty and his pets.” She winked at him and walked past them.
“DID SHE JUST CALL US PETS?” Annabeth looked at the girl with a glare.
“It’s my sister, Hebe. Goddess of Youth, wife of Heracles-” He gritted his teeth and held his head. “Okay, Hercules, sorry mom. And currently cupbearer to Hera.”
“Hera has no cupbearers.” Annabeth contradicted and crossed his arms.
“Believe me, she has, she took pity when Zeus went all gay for Ganymede, and made him his cupbearer, completely firing Big Sister Hebe from her job. Mom took her as her own cupbearer.”
Annabeth looked at the alley. She’s feeling something dragging her to come forward. She slowly makes her way to the alley.
“PERCY!” Grover snaps Percy of his ranting about Zeus.
“What is it, you goat!?”
“It’s Annabeth! She’s heading to the alley!”
“Who’s Annabeth?” Percy said looking clueless.
“HER!”
“Oh, Annabelle, wait!” Percy jumped from car to car, wailing alarms in the process. “Whoa…”
“ANNABETH!” Grover said running to their direction.“Shh!” Annabeth pulled Percy so close to her as they hid, her breasts are pressing against Percy’s chest.
“You’re so insufferable! How can you leave like that while I was-”
“I’m in no shape to listen to a prince ranting about how gay his stepdad is.” Annabeth said. “Something’s in there. A monster maybe…”
“That’s weird, I feel a presence there too, something very… I can’t explain.” Grover said squeezing himself along the two teenagers.
“There’s one way to find out.” Percy smirked and kicked Grover out of the way. “We’re going to a hotel after this. I’m not going to sleep in---WHOA!!” A hole appeared beneath Percy and he was dragged below.
