Whispers were heard through the hall. They were pointing to a certain brunette. The lonely girl held her books close to her chest while making her way to her locker with her head low. Putting her books in her locker, she heard a person calling her name. It wasn't just calling, it was more shouting. It was harsh and heartless. "Thirlwall!" She heard again. When she wanted to turn her head, someone pushed her back against the locker next to hers. Her back was full of pain, but she tried to ignore it - which is hard. "Are you listening, four eyes?," Regina said. Her so called "friends" laughed at her comment. They called her that, only because she has glasses on. "N-no," Jade stuttered and looked down. "I said, where is my homework, bitch!?," Regina said angrily. Because she never repeats something. "And don't let me repeat that again," she said and Jade turned red. "O-okay...". She gave Regina her homework quickly. "Mhmm," Regina checked the homework, let Jade go and walked away. Jade looked at her and blinked, still with a red head. She was almost late, so she quickly made her way to her class. She just made it in time and went to her seat at the back. She sat alone, as always. Regina and one of her worshipers sat at the table next to Jade.
Every now and then when the teacher isn't looking, Regina would annoy Jade by throwing stuff at her head or say something inappropriate. Sometimes Jade wants to just beat the shit out of her. But instead, she keep quite and stands in the corner like a coward. It's not her fault. She's just very shy and she's not the type of person to hurt people. Her mother always told her that hurting someone isn't the answer to things. So she did what the wise woman told her. Even though she suffer getting hurt herself, it's better than hurting someone else. Almost most of the times, she thinks of others first than herself.
Quickly picking up her bag, Jade made her way to lunch. No lunch in canteen, but outside under a tree. It's not just a normal tree. To her, it's the only place she felt safe around school. The only place she could be herself. The only place no one would disturb her. The only place she won't be judged for being herself.
While eating her sandwich, Jade drew a flower in her sketchpad. She likes to draw. It's her hobby and nothing can change that. Her drawing skills are on point. It's always so realistic. She can draw everything. You can even see the details in it. Her passion for drawing is unbelievable.
She was walking to her locker with her head low, when she crashed into someone. She looked up and saw a not-so-happy Regina. Jade frozed and couldn't say a thing. "Snap out of it, Jade!," Regina said and snapped her fingers until Jade came back to reality. "I'm very sorry," Jade said and tried to walk to her locker, which was only a few seconds of walking, but looked like an eternity. "You're a good girl. Keep it up," Jade heard from the mouth of the female bully. She sighed in relief. She couln't handle all the homework from herself AND Regina, but, she needed to do it, or things would happen.
Jade needs to stop doing homework for Regina and she needs to stand for herself. School was over, and she was thinking of doing it today, if Regina asked her to do her homework. And to her luck, she saw Regina and her "gang" approaching her. "Hey, nerd! Here's my homework. It needs to be done for tomorrow," she said, throwing her homework at Jade's face. Jade think of standing for herself today; she wants to be free. She tried to be confident and stood straight. "No," she said, confidently. Regina looked surprised for a second, but then a grin made its way to her face. "Oh, so you think you could talk to me like that?," she sarcastically said. "So you think I'm going to let you go and be free?," she kept going. "No! I'm not stupid," she said. "You can't even make your own homework...," Jade mumbled. Before she knew it, her back was met by a familiar feeling. Pain. She was roughly smashed against a locker. "I heard that!" Regina shouted in her face. Jade closed her eyes tightly and felt her eyes watering. "I-I'm s-sorry," she whispered. "Of course you are. Nobody talks to me like that. Especially nerds like you," she spatted on Jade's face. She slapped Jade's cheek really hard, making Jade turn her head. "That's what you get, and I'm not done yet," she told her. She saw Regina holding her hand in the air, ready to slap her face again. She shut her eyes tightly and took a deep breath. She felt nothing. But then she heard the most beautiful voice ever.
"Can you leave her alone? What did she do wrong to you?".
