Kayla Jones.

I sighed as I continued to walk to the nearest grocery store. It was cold as hell in New York, and my mom had me getting a bag of vegetables and oil for dinner tonight.

Shaking my head, I then made my way into the store. The cold breeze rushing through my body, causing me to shiver. I looked around, as I made my way to aisle 3, looking at every shelf soon finding the oil.

Knocking me outta surprise, my loud as phone began to ring uncontrollably. I grunted as I grabbed it out of my purse, sliding the answer button without looking at caller I.D.

"Hello?" I managed to say as I tried finding the mixed vegetables.

"Cousinnnn!" Said a screeching voice, my mood automatically brightened up, figuring out that it was my favorite cousin of all times, Zena.

She's been there through it all, and she's the only one who really understands me. She knows about to bullying that's been happening lately, and all, but we haven't talked in a while.I'm guessing she's been so busy over the past few months and possibly forgot about me.

"Hey cuzzo." I breathed out, while grabbing a snicker off the stand.

"I miss you so much man. When are you on a come back to Detroit to visit me?"

"I miss you too! and soon. I promise you." I laughed,  as I stood in line.

My cousin lived in Detroit all her life, and I always use to visit her, either for summer, spring break, or whenever I could. I had to set another trip down there.

"Good, cause I have to let you meet Lucas! you still haven't met him yet, we'd have so much fun." She exclaimed as I heard shuffling in the background. I laughed at her remark. She would not stop talking about her current boyfriend that she's been having for about a year now.

I could tell she really loved him, and that's what I love to see. Id love to meet him too, he seemed like a good person.

"You know I've been looking forward to that, I have to come out there sooooon." I laughed through the phone, as she joined me.

I continued the conversation as I walked out of the grocery store, and into the cold streets of Brooklyn.

Tiana Williams.

I laid comfortably in my warm bed as the breeze blew at my curtains slightly, and Jhene Aiko flowed through my speakers softly. I decided to stay home today because I had a slight headache. Therefore, this is what it led me to.

I sighed to myself as thoughts racked my mind. I had a lot of stress overcoming me, dealing with the upcoming play, school, singing lessons, and me possibly performing at the spring festival in California. That's if I win, or if they choose me. I sighed once again, soon being interrupted by a FaceTime from Amber.

I sat up, as I accepted it. And there she was, in her house fully dressed at 6 in the afternoon.

Only her. I smirked as I watched her move around before she actually spoke.

"Boo why you didn't come to school today? Left me all lonely with the white people at lunch." She pouted as I laughed at her facial expression. Me and Amber was slowly, but surely becoming really close.

So we would often hang around break, lunch, and even after school. We only hung around with Meech and them after school.

Why? Well, since we are freshmans, me and Amber don't have the same lunch as the sophomores and upper grade levels. It sucks, but to be honest it's more convient.
