"Working late tonight babe?" William asked. He's my best friend but boy is it creepy when he calls me that.
"Yeah unfortunatly. Won't get back till 11 at the most" I let the whole babe thing slide after all, he has a girlfriend.
"Want me to come by and give you a lift?" Will offered.
I thought for a moment "No. No it's fine really. I can catch the bus" I work as a waitress at the Fat Cat Cafe, it's only two corners away from the bus station.
"You sure?"
"Course" I replied.
*DING*
"Someone's come in. I have to go now. Speak tomorrow"
"Alright. Be safe" Will warned.
"Will do" and I hung up. Getting my pad and pen I waited for a moment before going out to the customer.
I've never seen this guy before.
Redish hair, tattoo's on both arms, rectangular glasses, blue eyes, snake bite pericing on the left side of his lip, light blue work shirt but the collar open and the sleeves rolled up his arms, black jeans and black convers.
His eyes looked me up and down. I felt uneasy in his gaze, especially when his tougue slipped out and over his lips.
Clearing my throat, I walked over to him, smiling.
"Want to order yet sir?" I asked, standing opposite him.
Silence, he just stared at me more. I tapped the menu in his hands and brought him out of his day dream.
I don't appreciate being eye candy for anyone, even more for people I have never seen before.
"Yeah, I'll have order number 4 with a coke" this guys voice matched him. I have to admit it was hot.
"Okay sir" I stood, taking down his order on my note pad.
I could feel his eyes on my again as he leaned back in his chair smirking, folding his arms.
"Whats your name pretty lady?" he asked before I walked away.
"Why?" I asked cautiously.
He shrugged in reply.
"Nicola. Nicola Tyler" I told him. Staring into his eyes.
He nodded and mouther my name to himself.
"Sweet name" he smiled, white teeth showing slightly.
"Thank you" and I walked away, looking at the ground. This guy was trouble, why did I just be so stupid and give him my name?
This will be a long night.
