"The fact that today's a Monday sucks." My pig of a friend, Nicki Sands, complains for the nth time today.
"Mondays suck." Kayn, my redhead girl friend, repeated.
Yes. Its another boring Monday. We are currently having our thirty minute recess and we are all in our rendezvous. Well, not actually. Chloe and Joe aren't here yet.
Speaking of devils, where are they?
"You guys have to stop complaining about Mondays," I suggested.
All ten of my girl friends turned their head to me and glared.
"What?!" I furrowed a brow at them. "Besides, today would be the second to the last monday of this year! How bad can it get?!"
Suddenly, a loud bang from the door interrupted the whole "glare-at-Robi" thing and got everyone turning their head to Chloe, who again was screaming hyperactively.
"Guys! Guys! Guys!"
"What?" We all responded, synchronized.
"GUYS!?"
"Chloe, spill the beans." Leigh, the bookworm of the circle, spat.
"GAH!" Chloe lunged. "Phew, okay, I've got good news and bad news."
"Can you just cut the suspense, bitch?," Geane grinned.
"Which goes first?"
"The good news first," Jerr, the athlete of the group, said.
"The good news is that I just reached 10 thousand followers on Instagram! Like Oh my God!" she squealed.
We all narrowed our eyes to Chloe as she popped a childish, peevish grin.
"Hey guys!" Joe walked into the room with a wave. Everyone in the room acknowledged his presence, except me. I am still all pissed about what happened that Saturday.
"Okay, and the bad news is?" I cut off all the greeting and raised a brow at Chloe. Leaving Joe ignored somehow.
"Okay," Chloe took a deep breath in and lunged it out heavily. "The bad newsitthatthepromgotcancelled"
She said it so fast I could not make out the words.
"What the fuck?! Slow down!"
"What?!" Nicki stood up and slammed her hand on the desk she was leaning on.
"I said the prom got cancelled." Chloe mumbled loud enough for everyone to hear.
"No friggin' way!" Everyone sighed together.
"Talk about Mondays not getting any worse, Robi." Serrah ranted.
"Well, I'm sorry! I didn't see that one coming!"
I burried my head between my folded arms on the desk and groaned loudly.
What?! Among all the things the faculty and administrators could cancel, why the prom?! They just can't cancel prom that easily! They just can't, can they? They should've just cancelled Principal Davis' wedding instead! Ugh. Shit, I sound like a gay.
Honestly, I don't give a fuck about prom that much. But seeing the faces of those bitches I love the most tears my heart to tiny little pieces.
I was sure I was murmuring aloud to myself. But I don't give a damn. My blood is boiling. I sure could punch something right now.
Just as I was about the slam my fist on the desk, a hand gripped my shoulder and felt a shiver run through my spine. The same goosebumpy feeling I got when I fell on Joe last Saturday.
