Chapter 10 - The end... ?

The clock is 00:25.

Your footsteps can't be heard.

Your breath is the only thing breaking the silence around you in the dark night. The No 4. AS50 was starting to feel heavy over your shoulder. You turned a corner and ended up in a little back alley. Snipers like you have to know every every alley, every street and what's around every corner in your city. In your case, it's London. Now, remember what Moriarty said to you.

"Be a tiger, Moran. Be magnificent, crouched, ready to pounce. Your eyes must stay focused at your prey; watch it. Watch for signs, be relaxed. Your next meal depends on it. Be my tiger."

You stopped and looked at a house over the street. You saw your prey, Walker, stand in the bathroom brushing his teeth. Perfect. You quickly moved over to the garden across from Walker's house. It looked empty, so why not? You folded out your gun's stand and attached the weapon to it. You placed your finger at the trigger and aimed at Walker. You took a deep breath and held it before you pushed the trigger. A loud sound could be heard, and it would certainly draw attention. You heard the window shatter and a thump. You smiled weakly to yourself as you packed your things together and ran towards your apartment. Or Moriarty's apartment. You didn't stop running, that would be stupid. You majestically jumped over a picket fence and ran through someone's garden, before you started running out in the crowded main streets. You see, the good thing about crowded streets is that nobody notices you. You eventually reached your apartment complex and got in. You threw off your shoes and pulled off your gun. You carefully put it down before you practically ripped off your jacket. Then you walked into you and Moriarty's bedroom and went to bed. It was weird not having him here, telling you goodnight.

The next morning was so quiet. You didn't have a stupid fight with Moriarty, which you actually kind of missed, because Moriarty got pretty hot when he was mad or irritated. You made yourself a cup of tea and sat down in the couch with a light grunt. You grabbed the remote control and turned on the TV. Moriarty's trial was on TV, and you were happily watching it, drinking your tea. Moriarty didn't say anything at all. He just looked fucking sexy, chewing gum.

You followed Moriarty's trial on the TV for the next couple of days, and to your surprise he was charged as 'not guilty'. You had cleaned the apartment, and put on the kettle for when Moriarty came home.

"Kitten?"

You smiled like an idiot when you heard the criminal call you kitten as he closed the door behind him. "I'm in the kitchen." You answered. You poured some hot water into two mugs and put them on the kitchen table. Suddenly you felt two hands on your waist and a kiss on your neck. "I've missed you" Moriarty mumbled into your neck. You scoffed, "Yeah right." You turned around and pushed Moriarty playfully away before you walked back to the counter. You heard Moriarty sit down and you could feel his eyes peer into your neck. "So why did you do that?" you asked him, your voice and mood suddenly turning serious. "And why didn't you tell me?" Now you were just angry. You turned and sat on the counter. "Answer me." Moriarty looked at you with puppy-eyes. "I did it to show Sherlock what I can do." You folded your hands in your lap. "Ok, yes. But you didn't answer the important question." Moriarty took a sip of his tea, probably as an excuse to not answer you. You felt the anger start to boil in you. "Please." You begged with teeth jarred together. Moriarty made eye-contact with you. "I was afraid that maybe you wouldn't agree with my plan." That was it? That was his excuse. "You know I don't dare to say against you." You whispered before you dragged a hand through your hair. "Sorry." The Irish man mumbled as he took another sip of his tea. You looked at him. He actually did look a little sorry, and that hit you with surprise, as Moriarty wasn't usually this kind. "How did the mission go?" He asked, the confidence back in his voice. "Great." You answered and sat down at the table too, wrapping your fingers around the hot mug. "Good." Silence. Moriarty was clearly not done with his plans. "Ok, Moriarty, what's your next plan?" you asked before you took a quick sip of your tea. "I'm going to pay Sherly a visit tomorrow. Give him some riddles to chew on." You nodded, but you knew that wasn't all of it. "There's more to this plan." Moriarty nodded. "Yes, indeed it is. Let me explain;" he took a sip of his tea and straightened his back. "Me and Sherlock is going to have a showdown on top of St. Barts hospital in a few days. Not sure exactly when yet." You frowned, "Have you planned that together?" you asked him. Moriarty grinned. "Not yet, but let me finish, will 'ya?" You nodded and took another sip of your tea. "Watson is going to be there, and I have decided to place snipers at all of the people Sherlock care about. Watson, Mrs. Hudson and Lestrade. You will have the honor to kill Watson if necessary. If Sherlock jumps, you can pack your stuff and go back home." You bet your lower lip and nodded slightly. Killing John? Sherlock jumping? What a horrible task. But you can't afford to care. You chose Moriaty over Sherlock and John, so it was your own entire fault. You sighed and nodded again. "Ok." Moriarty leaned over the table and placed a finger under your chin, making you lift up your head. "Let's go to bed, shall we?" he asked and smiled playfully to you. You chuckled, "You're disgusting." but you still got up and walked towards the bedroom, Moriarty right behind you.
