Q's POV

"What did you just say?" Joe asked me, his voice now sounding stern and irritated at my ignorance. I buried my face into my hands and sobbed. It wasn't supposed to happen this way. Not at all.

I eventually raised my head and locked my eyes with those darling blue ones of Joe's. I was sat at the kitchen counter, my elbows propped up on the surface, keeping my head stable. I patted the seat next to me, gesturing for Joe to sit down alongside me. He stepped over and took his seat. Silence filled the room, it was almost deafening. I let out a sigh, before I started to talk.

"I-I said that I love you..." I sighed, not noticing the smile tugging at the corners of Joe's mouth. "It's been on my mind for a while now. I'm sorry you had to find out this way. You know what, I'm just going to go. You probably hate me now." I started to ramble, running my hand through my hair in distress. I stood up and went to walk out of the room. My hoodie's sleeve got caught on what I assumed was a handle. I turned around to find that it was Joe. He had clasped his fingers around my hoodie, forbidding me to leave. He looked into my eyes, his stare burning into my very soul. A smile formed on his face, as he leant forward and lightly touched his lips against mine. They were so soft, so pure, so...Joe.

I pulled away, letting a smile sprawl across my face. I let out a chuckle, as I looked to the floor. Joe raised his hand and placed a finger under my chin. He gently pushed my chin up, so that he could see my face.

"Q...how long?" He asked softly. My eyes shifted, as I worked up the courage to answer him. I grumbled to myself, before gathering a figure in my head.

"26 years." I silently cried, tears were slowly making their way down my cheeks. Joe ran his thumb across my stained cheek, wiping away my tears. He cupped my face and lightly chuckled in disbelief.

"After all this time, I never knew. Do you realise how much time we've wasted being just friends?" He asked. I looked at him blankly, confused by his query. "I've loved you ever since I can even remember, Q." He sighed. Hearing those words, hearing his feelings, hearing him pour his heart out to me sent a shiver through my body. I pulled Joe into a hug, crying into his shoulder. He patted my back, to comfort me. I could sense that he was holding back the tears, but that's Joe Gatto for you. He's so strong when it comes to emotions. I don't know how he does it.

Joe lightly kissed my cheek and let out a shaky laugh. He peered over my shoulder, to see Sal and Murr watching us.

Joe's POV

The sight I was met with, as I looked across the room, I'm not going to lie to you, it took me by surprise. I wasn't expecting to see the pair of them stood watching over us. Sal was leant against the doorframe, with his arms folded. He smiled at me and gave me a thumbs up. I smiled in return, knowing full well that he had something to do with this. The simple mystery of their secret conversations. Sal knew I'd try and listen in. He knew that I couldn't resist knowing every single detail about Q. He also knew that Q was a one to often blurt out the truth in moments of panic.

I pulled away from Q, turning him around to face Sal and Murr. I smirked at Sal,

"Clever one, you are...aren't you Vulcano?" I teased. He chuckled lightly, waving a hand at me.

"I've no idea what you're on about Gatto." He smirked, turning to leave the room. "Come on Murr, let's leave these two love birds alone." Murr stuttered, trying to piece together tonight's surprise.

"Bu-But, wait. You guys are together now?" Murr asked. Q and I smiled at each other, before nodding at Murr. He jumped excitedly, before skipping out of the room, following after Sal. We soon heard the front door slam shut. They were finally gone.

I wrapped my arms around Q's torso, pulling his body into mine. I brushed my lips against his. We kissed for a few seconds, but it felt like hours. I dipped Q down and sprinkled kisses along his neck and jawline. A chuckle erupted from the man, as I stood him back up. He grabbed ahold of my hand and raised an eyebrow at me.

"To the bedroom?" He asked, wiggling his eyebrows. We'd been together for what? Like five minutes and he already knew how to make me putty in his hands. I smiled at him and clenched his hand tight.

"To the bedroom." I commented, as Q pulled me up the stairs.
