Committee's impatience

Chapter 24

It was Jonas.

"Dude, they are all very impatient, when do you plan to... you know," Jonas asked.

"Well if she listens to me and rest a bit more maybe i will allow the whole committee to meet her and Blake formally tonight during a banquet," Mike claim glaring dagger at me.

"Okay i will make sure everything goes well for tonight and i will inform Kol, Kevin and the others," Jonas said nodding more to himself and left.

I took Blake in my arms as he woke up.
Thankfully he was not crying or anything but instead had adventurous curious eyes.

"Time to eat," I mimicked a child's voice playing with Blake's nose.

Mike came on the bed with us and place his head on my belly.

Hours later Blake started to cry.

"Mike it's your turn," i stated tapping his chest.

He let of a deep breath of exasperation and took Blake in his arms and went in the bathroom.

It's his turn to change Blake's diaper.

Hours passed by really quick and Mike told me to change into some casual clothes just to say hi to the pack for a brief instant, then back to bed.

The pack house was actually a good km away from this mansion so i guess we are taking the car.

We were now in the car and Blake was in my arms.

"Beka I actually didn't want you to have to face such extravagant event so soon but as a matter of fact, it's really important for the pack to meet their Luna and future Alpha," Mike explained.

"But if ever you feel unwell or tired, you should informed me right away, understood," Mike ordered.

" I Should!!! I won't," I refused.

" I'm sorry I didn't mean it as a command, could you please just be really careful for me," He corrected himself.

He then kissed my forehead and took Blake in his arms.

We soon arrive at destination and Mike got out. Offering me his free hand, I took it.

As if we were superstars, a massive crowd was present cheerful.

We walk over to a stage and Mike immediately took the mic. Before talking though he nodded at me as a way to inform me to take Blake with me. then he started...

" Glad to see you all health and happy, I know it's has been a while since I should have introduce her to you all but the various events preceding her arrival didn't permit any meeting until now. Thankfully I have a way to make it up to you by also presenting you my first heir and descendent. Blake is just a couple of days old and my wife and mate, Beka is still recovering so be easy and brief to them. That's all for now so let the banquet begin,' Mike proclaimed like a real leader.

This was quite sexy.

Meanwhile, all the members of the pack clapped their hands joyously.

Mike then leads me towards the few nobles in the pack then to the best warriors and finally to the main table.

"I'm fine Mike, I still could have met some other people," I exclaimed holding a sleeping Blake in my arms.

"No it's already more than enough," He said taking from me and giving him away to an old lady.

" What are you doing? where is she taking him?," I demanded trying to stand up.

"Calm down, she used to take care of me when I was younger, I trust her, she will only take him to bed until we decide to leave," He explains holding me in place.

"No i.. i"i trailed anxious.

"I know it's your first time being away from Blake but it's going to be fine,"Mike comforted.

We ate, talked and Blake was still in my mind.
Holding my hand Mike knew my current worries.

"I think it's time to leave, you are too tensed,"Mike remarked.

"Why? Its nothing, i just need to see Blake,"i stated.
"Never mind, we are going, you were out of bed for too long, i don't like it, you should rest,"He told me standing up.

After saying our goodbyes , Blake was back in my protective arms and we were going back home.

"Are you okay,"Mike asked caressing my cheek.

"Yeah,"i said smiling.
