Beginning

I, Brooklyn Baker, am the school outcast.
I love music, it's always been my escape from everything and that's not so cool at my high school.

I'm walking to class alone as per usual, until someone taps me on the shoulder
"Hey could you help me find my class? I'm new and I have no idea where anything is" I turn around to face a tall pale boy with bright red hair, wearing black & white plaid and ripped skinny jeans.
"Y-yeah sure, what class do you have?" I hope it's not too far from my class, I have music next and I cannot be late.

"Uh music, with Mr. Scott?"
"Oh you're in my class actually, we can walk together, I guess" I say with a smile.
"I'm Michael Clifford" he puts his hand out to shake
"I'm Brooklyn Baker, nice to meet you?" I'm so awkward, kill me

I begin to the lead the way, I feel a little uncomfortable walking with someone to class but it's okay, he'll make cool new friends by 3rd period.

We walk in and I take my usual seat in the front row, but unexpectedly, Michael sits down beside me.
"Ah Ms Baker, who's your new friend?" Mr Scott calls on me, oh god.
Michael stands up in front of the class, "I'm Michael Clifford, I just moved here from Sydney"

Michael sits back down beside me, but I feel hot air on my ear, he whispers
"I think we're going to be great friends."
