That day, the castle was quite no one dares to talk loudly. And that day also, the war with the green kingdom was began. You can't fine Len anywhere on the castle and the capital.
"did any of you see Len today?"
The other castle staff shake their head "we didn't see him today. I'm sorry miss (y/n)" said one of the maid.
The time showed 3 in the afternoon. It was the time for the queen's tea time. You rush to the kitchen to prepare her tea. When you arrived there, the person you were looking for this all day were carrying a tray of tea set with a brioche.
"Len.. Where were you?..."
The servant give you a forced smile "just doing my job. C'mon, I need you to pour the queens tea. That your job isn't it? "
You nodded and both of you walk together to the castle garden here the queens waits.
"what happen to the green country now..? " you salinity of blue.
You hear him sighs "it's was completely destroyed. I heard from some survivors in the town that the soldier destroy everything and kills everyone"
"that's so cruel... " you mumbled.
"Rin is just an innocent girl (y/n)! She doesn't know anything. And it's our job to protect her. If people says that's she's evil that means I'm also evil!" he stated making you more worried.
Finnaly you two arrived at the castle garden. The young Queen was sitting at her usual spot in the middle of the yellow rose garden. She spot the two of you and smiled innocently.
"you're right.. " you said to Len not loud enough to Rin hear.
"today's snack is brioche my queen" Len said as he served the brioche.
You poor her favorite tea. Chamomile tea to her little tea cup. Rin takes a bite and drink her tea. She smiled to both of you.
"thanks you two! You're the best!!" she said as she finish her snack.
"why is your smile so innocent Rin? " you though on yourself.

The night was very peaceful. You woke up at the middle of the night to take a drink from the kitchen. And that's where you hear sobs and cry from len's room.
You opened the door slightly to see the blonde haired servant crying while holding a picture. A knife full of blood was on his hands. You notice how he hug the knife while sobbing.
"I'm sorry.... I love you.. But if it's for my sister... I'll do anything for her... "
"Len..? " you called for him as you open the room's door.
"(y-y/n).... I... I.. " he cried again.
Your heart ache when you see the person on the paper. The green maiden from the green country. You embraced Len from behind as he cried on your embrace.
"I.. I killed her (y/n). I killed the girl that I loved... I'm so sorry.. I don't want to kill her.. I loved her with all my heart (y/n).. Even if she didn't love me and love the blue prince.. "
You stroke his soft blonde hair. You didn't know what expression to use. Sad..? But you're also happy that the girl is gone! But it pains you seeing him crying like this again. You loved Len with all your heart.
"sushhhh Len.. I'm here for you. You don't need to cry. I promise you I will always be with you no matter what happened. I'll do anything for you Len.
I loved you" a tear falls from your (e/c) orbs.
"(y/n)... Please.. Promise me you will look after rin for me. Just please... She's my everything.. Please.. " he grip on your clothes tightly and sob again.
You hug him tightly feeling his body warmth "I will, I promise you... "
"thank you.. (y/n)..."
Outside the room. A blonde haired girl heard all of the conversation. Guilt start to rush and push up on her heart. But she kept it all for her own pride.

Another day at the kingdom. More citizen of the kingdom dies out from hunger. You were walking down the capital. The town was not beautiful as it used to be. Everyone eyeing you because of you work for the Queen.
Their glare never annoys you. You already hard to their glares since you were little. You walk down a path when you accidently hear one of the people conversation.
"so we're really going to rebel against the kingdom? "
"yeah! I heard that there's a red armored knight and a prince from the blue kingdom will lead us!"
"that's great. After the queens gone we won't suffer anymore."
"yeah, we need to get rid of her and her allies!"
"we're going to attack tomorrow morning! We will win and free the kingdom! "
You hold your breath and slowly walk away. You tried to look casually and walk back to the castle to find Len. You found him on the garden picking roses.
"Leeeen?!" you called.
Len turn his gaze to you "(y/n), what is it? "
You oath and steady your breath "the.. The people of the kingdom.. They're going to attack tomorrow. To kill Rin!! What do we do? "
Len looked at me with shock and drop the flowers in his hands. "I need to do something... "
"Len.. Everyone on the castle is leaving accept then there of us.. And rin is to innocent to know about this.. "
Len looked at you "just wait (y/n), I'll have a plan! "

The story is coming to an end.
I always planned this book to be short.
And you just can't believe how long is fate XD
It's already chap 11 and Len JUST realize his feelings.
I always liked those story where there's characters devolpment.
BTW, after this story finish I'm making another Len x Reader :3
