Will POV:
I looked out the window at the gorgeous view of the lake. This was my father's lake house. It's been in our family for years. It's all mine now. And hopefully one day I'll pass it down to my child. Not that mistake I made years ago either. I mean a real child. One worthy of the Rodriguez name.
I sighed as I poured myself a glass of Deleon. Tequila felt like the right choice. I was celebrating.
I have everyone coming to see me and Kaia. Mostly me though. I couldn't really have her family messing up my publicity, now could I?
I was sipping my drink as my deacon staff made their way in.
"Help yourself. We're celebrating this is a good move for us. And the ministry."
Deacon Floyd POV.
I poured myself a drink. It went down so smooth. I've been wanting a drink all day, but I couldn't risk the press or any church members seeing me at the bar downstairs.
"I have to admit Will you have outdid yourself. I mean coming back to your father's lake house instead of renting some overpriced random place was a great move for the press."
"Yes I know. I'd like to purpose a toast. To my staff, my new church, and my new money."
We all touched glasses and share a much needed drink. I looked over and seen Charles and Grant speaking privately. I gave a facial gesture to Will so he can see them talking also.
"Um Kris why don't you go downstairs and tell the people I'll be down soon?"
"Yes Sir."
Will POV:
After Kris walked out. I slammed my glass down on my desk.
"Grant what's so important you can't share with the rest of your brothers?"
"No sir I just didn't want to disturb you on you're big day sir."
I loosened my tie and snapped. Floyd and Raymond grabbed Grant. Charles took a seat on the sofa.
My church coordinator Ashley grabbed Grant's phone and brought it to me.
"Now Grant don't lie to me. What are these outside associations you have going on?"
"Pastor if you would just let me explain."
I sat down across from him.
"Yes go right ahead." I waited for his response as I finished my second drink.
"Well I went to the other side of town to that church on 108th street and I found us a better deal for supplies. We were running low. I just want to help to do what's best for all of us. Please don't be upset with me.
I sat up and walked behind him and placed my hand on his shoulder.
"What are the difference in pricing?"
"There is a $1,000 difference for each box we purchase."
I took a deep breath. "Okay that's all I wanted. Make some calls and begin distributions. I want to connect with other neighborhoods. We have to spread our message further and expand our ministry."
Everyone said yes sir and they left.
I looked over at the picture of me, Kaia, and my brother Cedric. "God bless you nigah. See you soon."Kaia POV:
I was slayed, hair laid, and not to be played with honey! I was already fully dressed in my burgundy long flowing Maxi dress.I grabbed my purse and started walking to the door. Asia ass was still getting ready. I didn't have time to wait for her I had to go mingle and see who showed up I know it was mostly Will's stuck up ass family.
I took the elevator to the first floor and immediately there were camera flashes all in my face. There was so many reporters there and as soon as I made it into the main hall where Will and I would renew vows one of our producers said they needed a green room shot of me saying how I felt on my big day. I told them that I wanted them to just film me right here besides this fountain. It was so beautiful and serene. I adjusted my chair and made it seem like I didn't know what was going on. The director yelled action and this extra came up to me and started talkin' to me.
"Hey girl you ready for this to be over with ain't you?"
"Actually no I would do this everyday I love Will so much. I can't believe we're actually here. It's so beautiful." She smiled brightly at me. It was so...convincing
"Girl you're beautiful! I'm glad you're happy we're all happy for you."
The director yelled cut and the makeup team ran up on me and gave me a touch up.
I sighed I wish I could get a day to myself.Unknown POV.
I had to find out on tv about Kaia and Will renewing their vows. I'm not really all that surprised seeing how I barely got an invite to the wedding. I shook my head. Fuck it I'm already in Destin. I'ma show up anyways. I mean ain't shit they can do. I'm family.Ashely POV: I was running around like a hoe with her shoes off. It was way too much going on. I had to make sure everything was in place and Kris ass wasn't doing anything. I don't understand why he is Will's assistant or furthermore why he got paid more than I did. Anyways everything was perfect I showed the crew some good areas where they could get some shots and finished up some last minute arrangements.
It was 10 minutes until the renewing was about to start. I seen Will talking to his mother Klaudia. I didn't see his father though. Hmm interesting.I spotted Kaia sitting outside I went over to her.
"It's about time for you to come." I extended my hand for her to take. She took it with a smile.
We made our way back inside. Will saw Kaia and I seen him start glowing. They took their places. But then I seen a glass fall from the table and heard loud music outside. Somebody had some good ass boxes they was boomin' loud ass hell. All I heard was bass and Fuck what you heard God blessin' all the trap nigahs.
Who could that be doing the most like this?
