chapter 1

Hi im luciana rivera, you can call me luci, I just moved to Florida from new York, I don't really like the atmosphere down here, there aren't any taxis anywhere unless you count uber which I don't... I'm busy unloading the moving van we used to drive down here with until I hear my mom call my name "LUCI COME CHECK THIS OUT" she yelled from the kitchen " coming mom" I say running into the house " look at these schools you could go to" she points at the computer screen " this one is close to home, or you can go to a performing school, you can learn a new instrument? I don't know honey its up to you" she says giving me a bunch of options " hmm why don't I try a public school, like the one that's close to home and if that fails we have another school to fall back on? ya know because unlike new York we have another option" I say sarcastically " oh luci I know the kids at the new York school were awful but we are not there anymore.. they cant hurt you anymore" she says reassuringly but was picking her words carefully " mom I know, I'm safe now I will go unpack and change, then maybe we can talk a little more about it over dinner?" I say about to leave the kitchen " yea that's fine" she says trailing off.." luci?" she asked " yea?" I look back " I love you honey" she says smiling a she picked up the phone maybe to call for a pizza" I love you too mom" I said then walked outside to the moving van picked up a box and carried it into the house, good thing it was the last box i had been making trips all day, I slowly walk up the stairs turning on my phone to the music and switch on Now or Never by halsey I go to my new room and pull out a pair of blue night shorts and a matching shirt that said " dream to your hearts content" and I lay in my bed for a little not long after my mom calls from across the hall and says pizzas downstairs but i'll get to it in the middle of the night like the ninja I am lol but for now goodnight and ill talk to yall in the morning
