Percy's POV
The water around me shifted as I waited for Annabeth to appear. I was fiddling with a small box in my hand.
"Hey seaweed brain," a bright voice called from behind me.
"Hey wise girl," I responded, "I have something to ask you.
" What is it?"
I got down on one knee.
"Annabeth Chase, would you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?"
"No"
I sat up on my bed. I have had this dream since Annabeth left to go and meet up with her cousin and the sound of her voice saying no always made me wake. The fact that she is already engaged to me is always forgotten in the dream. I was not used to Annabeth not be here and it made me feel horrible. At first, it was only flashbacks from Tartarus but it developed and I have no idea how to stop it. I got up to go talk to Nico not noticing the dark figure behind me vanish.
Unknown POV
The man in the black cloak with an eye embroidered onto the fabric turned to face his master.
"We have found the perfect target, Fintan," the man said," Perseus Jackson a powerful being."
"Good, keep an eye on him," Fintan said," we don't need another Foster."
