Everything is white. The cold is biting your face and you're shaking.

"Help me! Please!!"  you hear from afar.

It's a familiar voice. You look around, but seem to be trapped in this snowstorm. It's like static in front of your eyes. Only white. Endless white.

"I'm begging you, please! Forgive me! Don't do this to me!"

The voice sounds more shaky and pleading. It's the voice of sheer panic. Desperately you try to run into a direction, but you know it's hopeless. Your legs feel so numb that you don't know how far you've been going and by now you even lost yourself. For a second you stop to catch your breath. In the middle of the snowstorm you're sweating, the adrenaline pumping through your veins like you never felt it before. You look up. The voice is right in front of you.

"I don't want to die."

The monotonous roaring of engines. A bony shoulder keeps hitting your cheek. Slowly you open your eyes. Within seconds your memories fall back into place and you recall the very situation that you're in right now. Your still on the plane. On a flight to Thailand.

"Hey, I thought we are watching a movie?"

Sooyan is staring at you with puppy eyes.

"I'm sorry... I fell asleep." you mumble, rubbing your eyes and looking at your phone. 2:28 AM. Weird, how as a night owl you couldn't keep your eyes open this time. Maybe it's the dimmed lights in the cabin, or it's the white noise, that's surrounding you. Maybe it's the warmth of the blanket, that you're wrapped in, or just this day, begging for an end.

Sooyan rests her head on yours and sighs, presses play, and you continue to blankly stare at the screen, the overdramatic voices of the actors fill your ears again. A desperate attempt to fight boredom on a 4 hour flight.

It's the end of August and you're on your first ever vacation alone, only with your best friends. But you're already 18, so it was about time to handle things on your own. You have been waiting for so long. For the last week of summer break, when in would finally happen, but strangely... you couldn't feel any less excited right now. The only thought, that occupies your head is, how school is about to start in a few days, and how you're gonna get drilled for exams. It's always the same. In the last week of your break you wish you had just one more. And then you wonder what you have done the whole summer, why you didn't appreciate your free time when it was still there. Weeks ago it just seemed like something self-evident. You saw it as a time, when you had absolutely no obligations, not even the one of using your brain. Like a two month long coma. And then, in the last week, it comes back, blaming you for not embracing that time enough. But living in the Moment just seems like so much effort, once you come home from a year of education.

An announcement goes off, telling the passengers to fasten their seatbelts, as you are going to land soon. Already sunken into each other, you and Sooyan simultaneously sit up with a groan. Your back already hurts from the position you have forced yourself into, to get some rest in this musty economy class seat. Sooyan on the other side looks flawless, even after all the stress of travelling. She is insanely pretty. There is nothing you don't like about your own looks, but she could be an Idol. Her appearance must reflect her soul, you think. She has always been by your side, in the best and in the worst moments. Helping you, supporting you, cheering you up and defending you, even when you were wrong.

She catches you staring, while tying up her honey blonde hair into a ponytail. Although she seems tired, she gives you a smile and you can't help but smile back.

In that moment however, your glance falls past her. Right next to Sooyan, where her boyfriend Yoongi sits. Yoongi, who you're so desperately in love with.
