Yoongi pulls you with him, onto the pier. You are way too excited about this bit of skin contact. Reluctantly you have to admit that you enjoy every second of it. His hand feels so dry and cold. But soft. Your gaze falls onto the veins that snake up his arms, and you feel like the biggest creep in the world. Why did it have to be him, you think. Those butterflies in your stomach are so wrong. You try to shake off this feeling but can't.

"I gotta be honest, I'm not someone to easily befriend people." Yoongi starts, still with his back facing you. What is he up to? You fasten your pace to catch up to him. He lets go of your wrist.

"But Sooyan said, the two of us should het along with each other, as the most important people in her life. That's why she brought both of us here."

Bad idea. But it reminds you what a wonderful person Sooyan is. She wants to build friendships for life. Just the four of you, being there for each other, no matter what. It would make such an amazing picture, you think. If you weren't there to ruin it.

You and Yoongi have soon reached the end of the pier. The first rays of sunlights show up on the horizon, still the water below looks cold and murky.

"We will get along, I'm sure! ou're not that awful after all." you try to sound as cheerful as possible. A strong gust of wind hits you from the side, blowing your hair into your face. Yoongi looks down to you.  As your eyes meet, you realize how romantic this very scenery is and immediately feel uncomfortable. To hide your insecurity, you force a smile.

"You think so?", the corners of Yoongi's lips raise the slightest bit. Then he pushes you over the edge of the pier.

Startled you swim up to the surface. What the hell just happened? The water is warmer than you thought, still it sends shivers all over your body. You rub your eyes and hear Yoongi splashing in right next to you. He comes closer and helps you remove the strands of hair from your face.

"I'm sorry! It just looked too inviting." he laughs. You look up to see the sweetest smile spread across his face. It goes all the way up to his gums and his eyes have formed into tiny slits. Your heart beats faster and you can't help but laugh too. His smile is so contagious, that you soon have taken on the same overjoyed expression.

From out of nowhere Hoseok jumps over the pier in a karate pose. Again the salty seawater splashes into your eyes.

"Did that look cool? I was so scared!" your brother looks at both of you and laughs.

"Everything you do is funny, Hoseoki." Yoongi assures him.

You also spot Sooyan, sitting on the edge of the pier, with her feet dangeling in the air. Like it's an instinct, all of you approach her and eventually, after lots of screaming and kicking, you manage to drag her down, into the sea.

You genuinely enjoy your time. So much, that you don't know for how long you have been fooling around with your friends. For a while, all the trouble in your head has disappeared. It's like this situation has never been problematic.

Dark clouds drift over the sky, followed by a strong wind. You're in the deeper water, swimming by yourself, and feel the waves become more intense, forcefully pulling you with them. The others have already gone outside. With strength you try to battle the waves and hurry to get to the shore. Within a few sconds it has also started to rain. The heavy wind is slapping the raindrops across your face. A situation in which you could cry for help, but you stay strong. The beach isn't far, you know you can do this.

From a distance you see Yoongi and Sooyan, standing under a towel together. Your arms begin to tingle. You swim on, but your eyes are glued to Yoongi, who is now kissing your best friend. The tingling feeling gets more present, now spreading through your whole body. He and Sooyan look perfect together, like a couple from a movie. It hurts your heart. Suddenly it's incredibly hard to move. You can't feel your legs anymore, the numbness is creeping up your limbs. Desperately gasping for air, you swallow a load of salt water. That dizzy feeling from before comes back, taking away your sense of orientation. Although you can't tell up and down anymore, you're fighting your way forward.

Yoongi pops up in your head again. His milky white collar bones in the blue morning light. Your vision goes black. A heavy wave gushes over you.
