Dear vogue,

Stop taking cultures and making them unauthentic. If you want to appreciate cultures, well and good, but keep it pristine.

Don't go around advertising Asian garments with white models, Where have you seen A Caucasian geisha? Minority models are always in the background, this is the time to shine your light on them. The industry has a tonne of up and coming models you mean out of all the dozens and dozens of girls you couldn't find anyone who fit the part?

Don't come here with your white savior crap, it's disgusting. Don't go all, this summer we where inspired by Africa and the textiles, landscape and at ambiance, then use a white model on us. Yes there are white Africans, Indian Africans and Africans of Asian descent. But what I'm taking about is not showcasing us in a even light, don't always focus on the bad parts of Africa, not everything is a shanty compound. Don't bring your models and glam and doll them up and leave the rest looking downtrodden like she just walked straight from Rodeo drive or Champs Elyseé and landed in the middle of a famine zone

Stop showing us as just black kids with flies on our faces
Stop showing us as just nomadic people feeding our herds of cattle
Instead showcase the talent we have, the potential, the ones who made it big.
