Luke Hemmings
Pieces -
"Why are you so scared of something getting broken?" The girl asks as she watches the boy carefully move the sculpture around in the art room, his fingers skilled and his feet graceful.
"No one ever tries to pick up the pieces." He shrugs, nodding his head towards the mess in the corner from a student who just left crying because he broke his sculpture. Luke had told her they always left the mess behind.
"So why don't you fix it yourself." It was his sculpture, shouldn't be fix it himself? He looked down at the ground with a smile, whispering something to himself that she couldn't quite comprehend.
"How? How can I do that?" He questioned, genuinely interested in her answer.
"You just have to make it fit like a puzzle." She replied back, waiting for him to come up with a smart response. He was always known for that, and even though he was her tutor and she was supposed to be genteel with him, he still was able to manage to get on her nerves that way.
"I think I'm missing a piece." Luke whispered, knowing she had no idea of the deep meaning behind it instead of the shallow one.
