Luke Hemmings - Pieces
One - 01
The girl shuffles around in her bedroom as she tries to find her phone, the constant ringing sound of it muffled by an unknown object drifting into her ear and causing her to become very annoyed very quickly. A pair of muscular arms wrap around her from behind whilst she's bent down and looking through her night stand, her cheeks flushing a deep red as she remembers that her best friend is in the room with her and she's only wearing a t-shirt along with cotton shorts. He lets out a low chuckle as he takes note of how flustered she's become and gently pulls her back towards the bed where they land with a plop.
"Ashton," the girl groans as she turns around in his arms and looks into his green eyes, a frown etched across her face. She sits herself up on his chest with her legs bent and enjoys the comforting silence being shared between the two of them. Ashton and her have been best friends ever since they were little kids, and she adored him dearly as he was always there for her in times of need. Ashton's fingers caress her thigh gently in small circles when he something catches his eye, causing him to sit up as well.
"Ame, what is this?" He questions slightly as he pushes the fabric up higher to reveal angry slashes all along her upper thigh, causing the girl to roll over in the bed. She's so embarrassed that he's found out she self harms, and she can't force herself to look at him in the eyes. She's afraid of what he will think of her. Everyone's always left her after they found out or thrown out crude remarks about it like the time her former girl best friend saw her scars in the locker room and threw their friendship bracelets in the garbage. She didn't blame any of them, who would want to be friends with her in the first place?
"Amarya," Ashton whined as he lied down in the bed next to her, noticing her grey eyes brimming with tears. She hid her face in the pillow that's intoxicated with his smell and let out a choked sob, causing him to wrap his arms around her and whisper sweet nothings into her ear. He's always liked her but he was always too shy and afraid to admit it. He hated seeing her upset like this, and he's angry with himself for not being there for all those times that caused her to open up her skin.
"No I do-," the girl began before her phone ringed again causing a sigh to escape her rosy lips. She began to get up to go get it when he grabbed her arm and pulled her back into the bed, letting her fall against his chest. Goosebumps rose on her skin as he nuzzled his face in her neck, causing her to smile when he giggled to himself when he noticed her squirming in his arms. Soon enough, they were in a heap of giggles and began to mess around with each other. An unspoken tickling contest seemed to form between the two.
Ashton pressed his fingers into her side, biting his lip as he stared into her eyes that were wild now. He slowly rubbed her hips as he straddled her, and buried his face into her hair that was spread around her head making her seem more like an angel. The blondness of it making her seem even more pure. "Mmm," Ashton mumbled as he took in the smell of her shampoo, not exactly having a fruit smell to it but definitely a good one. "You smell so good," he moaned quietly as he rose his head and smiled down at her.
"Thanks, I know. You should try showering some time," the girl teased as she rubbed her nose against his.
"Only if you join me," he laughed as he let himself lay on top of her, giving her a wink before he cuddled into her. "You know, it's kind of nice just relaxing today and having fun. We haven't had one of these days in a while," he whispered quietly causing a frown to stretch across the girl's face again. It was true. It's been a while since her and Ashton have hung out and she felt extremely guilty about it, but with school and her parents constantly stressing her out he hasn't popped in her mind not once. That was, until he called this morning demanding they had to have a play date.
