"I'm worried for our royal guards." The young king sits in his office and opposite him sits the chancellor of the kingdom."How so?"
"We've had piece in this kingdom for a while now. 10 years since the last war."
"So why worry?"
"I'm afraid of war. If there were to be a war, we would not be ready. We need to get our guards trained but i had wanted to get your advice." The king sits back in his chair.
"I understand your concert but Captain Jeon has been training them daily, you would think they would be fit for battle, would you not?"
"I completely rust Caption Jeon with his training, but he's doing basic fitness training. We need them to train harder. I believe that yes, our army is strong, but not strong enough."
"So you're asking them to train for longer?"
"No. I'm asking if they can train harder. I haven't seen them work with bows and arrows in a while and sword practice along with general fighting training would be good."
The chancellor leans back in his chair and nods.
"You do not think you would be overworking them? We don't want them to be fatigued if war is to come."
"I trust Captain Jeon. He knows what he's doing." Taehyung leans forward on his desk as he speaks about his dear friend.
"Very well then, i agree with your plans. With the reinforcement of the castle and the kingdom as well as heavier training, if anyone would try to attack during our weaker times, we'd be somewhat prepared." The chancellor nods, holding out his hand to shake with the King.
"Thank you for speaking with me Namjoon. Until next time." The king shakes his hand and stands up, leading the chancellor to the door of his office.
"Anytime Your Highness. I bid a good farewell."
"Likewise." The king bows as the chancellor leaves, then closing the door behind him. He walks down out through the doors to the training fields, over to his friend who smiles at the king.
"Jungkook." He says, walking over to him.
"Taehyung, finally do you have time of to talk?" He asks, wiping sweat away from his brow which secretly causes the kings heart to beat slightly faster, but he still keeps a stern face.
"No, but i want you and the rest of the royal guards in the thrown room at nineteen hundred hour sharp. I have something to discuss with you."
"Taehyung I understand you're busy, I am too, but don't you have a second to talk?"
"Both you and I must respect our duties. During work hours we are to be nothing but professional. But if yo wish I am free after twenty one hundred hour. I will be in my sleeping quarters and feel free to drop by for a few minutes."
The king gives the boy a stern look and he nods.
"I'll speak to you later Taehyung. I love you." The young boy calls out as the king walks his way back to the castle.
"Likewise."

"You are all gathered her this evening as I, with the advise of the chancellor, have made an important decision.
I understand all of you are working hard these days to keep strong but I have a feeling that, with these years of piece, our fighting by forces have weakened. Our arrows and swords are untouched.
We at at risk of war at any minute if any day, and I had a realization that if some army were to come barging into this room, ready to take us out, we wouldn't be strong enough to fight back.
We have our strong individuals, such as Captain Jeon, who I know trains extra hard, but I feel each and very single one of you could start training harder, to help this kingdom.
I want you to be mastered at swords g digging and bow and arrow shooting g as soon as possible, every single one of you. I have a bad gut feeling about war. I hate it, so if it were to happen, we need to be strong.
Do you all understand that starting tomorrow you will train harder to keep this kingdom safe?"
"Yes Your Highness!" The crowd of guards call out and the king sits back in his thrown.
"You're all dismissed. Take the rest of the evening free before the morrow comes."
The guards leave the room, except for one, the leader of the royal guards.
"Am I still meeting with you this evening in your sleeping quarters?" He whispers, only loud enough for the king to here.
"My doors are open until midnight. Come as you will Jungkook. My schedule is busy and so is yours and we both know that's the only time we have to ourselves."
-
A knock is heard on his bedroom door and the king puts down his letter in his hand, slips his glasses on from next to his bed and pulls up his robe, covering his bare chest.
He walks over to the door and opens it, greeted by the face of his friend.
"You came." He says smiling.
"With pleasure." Says the young guard, in his sleeping garments.
"Why did you wish to talk to me?" Asks the king , leading the boy into his room."
"Ever since you became king, we've been forced apart from each other. You have been so busy and now I have extra training to do, it feels as if we shall never get time together."
"Distance makes the heart grow fonder." The king says simply, looking at the troubled boy in front of him."
"Said by someone stronger than me." The young boy chuckles and the king does so too.
"I miss this. Sleepovers with laughing and games as a child but, it never happens anymore." Says the king, finally admitting his feelings.
"Taehyung... I understand your worry for war, but please that that, no matter what happens, I'll always be there to protect you."
"I know."
"I must get going then, Taehyung I bid you goodni-"
"Tarry! Actually, why not just stay. It can be like the 'ol days." The king suggests, smiling and Jungkook walks over to him and sits down on the bed next to him, grabbing his hand.
"With all pleasure, I'll stay."
