Taehyung is a newly crowned king, just getting used to ruling a kingdom.
Jungkook is the royal commander and captain of his royal guards, as well as a childhood friend.

"So King Kim Taehyung, Princess Irene, the Queen and I were speaking about you're relationship with our daughter and since it is developing very well, we though that it would be the best for both our kingdom and yours, for you and Irene to wed." The King says and Taehyung looks up at him, his eyes widened. He can feel Jungkook softly nudge him from behind.
Princess Irene smiles at him, her eyes sparlkling but he can see that it isn't real. He can see it's not of love.
"W-wed?" Taehyung questions.
"Yes. Perhaps this Spring when the trees start to blossom. We've already started p-"
"I'm sorry i can't accept this."Taehyung says, iterrupting the King. Not only shocking the family, but Jungkook too.
"Pardon me?"The Queen asks.
"I can't do this. I'm sorry. Princess, King, Queen, I beg your pardon but i can't do this." The king says, standing up from his head and folding his napkin. The princess stands up and grabs his arm, which he snatches away from her grip as he glares at her.
"I don't love you, Princess Irene. And i know you don't love me either. I'm leaving and please don't come after me."The King says, making sure to grab Jungkook's hand as he leaves the room, through the castle passageways and out the door.
The climbs into his carriage and pulls Jungkook in with him. A stern look on his face as everything falls silent as the carriage starts moving.
"Why'd you do that?"Jungkook asks, breaking the silence.
"I feel sick every time she touches me. I'd rather die alone than married to her. I'd rather love in secret than pretend to love her." Taehyung says, a scowl on his face.
"That was brave of you, but also dangerous. Who knows what's going to happen now."Jungkook says, grabbing Taehyung's hand. His metal gloves brush against the King's hands.
"I know. But it's going to be alright, because i have you."Taehyung says and he closes the curtains of the carriage.
He looks at Jungkook lovingly. Knowing he did the right thing, as he leans in and places a kiss on the guards lips.
"You know, we could always head back to my room at the guard quarters again..."Jungkook suggests with a smirk.
"Sounds like a plan."
