Our First Kiss..

Chapter 3

They all retire to their various rooms for the night. Will and Laura also return to the privacy of her room.

"You were going to tell me later tonight? What if i had left immediately after dinner? Would you have postponed telling me?" Will asks.

"I'm really very sorry my love. I really would have told you dear. I wanted to surprise you honey, I'm sorry it came out the way it did. Please forgive me."

"How the tides have changed. I was the one apologizing earlier tonight, but I'm the one who is going to forgive you now. It's alright babe, i forgive you."

"Thanks babe. Can we stay on the roof before we finally go to sleep?" Laura asks.

"Of course love. Wear thick clothes, it'll be cold up there.

Now on the roof, they stand on the ledge, hand in hand.

"Are you trusting me to hold you safe?" Will asks.

"Of course i do. You won't hurt your wife. You won't hurt me, so i trust you wholly."

They move away from the ledge, armed with a big furry blanket. They sit together, her head on his chest as they cover themselves with the blanket. Staring at the full moon, and the stars, they stay in the comfort of the dead silence of the night.

"The stars are beautiful tonight." Laura sighs.

"Just like you my love, you are as beautiful as them." He replies. "Remember we both promised to reveal a secret each to each other, tonight, with the moon and stars, as our witnesses."

"Yeah i do. So you want me start first right?"

"Of course you should dear." He urges her on.

"Alright, here goes. Although its not so long." She starts. "I was dating, Jack. You know him, the boy who works at the community store. We were cool and Mum knew about us but she never completely consented to the relationship. She kept saying she felt he wasn't the right one for me. I was stubborn as usual and kept seeing him. One day i went to visit him at home. He told me his parents would be around but on getting there, he was the only one around. I stayed to still see him however, after some hours, he began flirting with me trying to touch my boobs, to kiss me, to smooch me, but i didn't let him and he played it off as a joke. But he had something worse in store. He began to rub my laps and when i pushed him away, he forcibly laid me on his sofa and violently asked for sex. I tried to struggle but he was stronger. When he was struggling with his belt, i grabbed a vase on a stool and smashed his head. I ran out because i couldn't let him vandalize my virginity which i had sworn to give to the right person. And apart from Mother, Tye and Tanya and his whole family, no one else knows about this."

At this moment, she is breathing hard, her voice shaky, with tears flowing lightly down her cheeks. He pulls her closer, wiping her face with his bare hands.

"My dear, that's enough. Thank goodness he didn't succeed in raping you. Don't worry dear, its alright. Guess I'll have to make mine short as well. Here goes...." He starts "Through out highschool, i never for once got attached emotionally to a girl. I only flirted, with girls who tried to come close to me. I never really liked any of them so i never wasted my time in getting into a relationship with any of them. But then i met Shani, the head Physician's daughter. I really liked her and approached her accordingly and then, we began to date. Mum and Dad knew about us and approved. We continued seeing each other until the day i saw her, seriously smooching with my friend, Dan in class. The painful thing was that i liked her so much and i stop my previous lifestyle with the other girls. So we stopped dating after, i told her i had seen her and she couldn't deny. So you see, i also have a painful history but that's why its history because its now a forgotten issue for me."

"Oh My God! Will, that was really painful." Laura exclaims.

"You could say that again Laura dear, you really could."

"Will how did you come to love me?" She asks with so straight a face that one could actually be really so scared.

"Remember the series of services last year? That's when i decided to give relationship a new look and then we coincidentally became close friends. I grew feelings for you and then i told you and here we are now, five months old together. These past five months with you have unarguably being the best five months of my life and i pray we last for an eternity. Thanks for changing me with your love. I'll be forever grateful to you."

"Oh! Will. You also have added to me and made the past few months the best in my life. Remember our destiny together has been confirmed in the spirit. We will be together forever. I love you Babe."

"I love you more my Laura." He says.

They both fall silent as they resume staring at the night sky. Laura rise from his laps, turning to face him. They both stare directly in each others eyes as their hand work their ways to the napes of their necks. They move closer, foreheads touching as they can both feel their breaths on each others lips. She moves in quickly, pulling him close as she locks her lips with his.

"My God! Laura you just kissed me." He said surprised with her boldness.

"No! Stop! I didn't. I - i - i didn'- i didn't do it." She said hitting him lightly on his chest, highly embarrassed.

He encases her in a hug, pulling her close, placing her head on his chest. He kisses her forehead "You know Laura, you just stole our first kiss and i intended anchoring it. But now, that's too late."

She releases herself, switching back to their former position. "Then kiss me now Will, its not too late."

They both come closer as they kiss with them both responding.

"How was it? Our first real kiss." He asks

"Wonderful I guess." She says

They both stand up, chuckling as they head back inside the house, retiring for the night.
