five-year-old iwaizumi chased five-year-old oikawa round and round his backyard while emitting a series of laughter and giggles.

they finally collapsed onto the green grass and stared up into the clear sky.

"you won't leave me, will you iwa-chan?" oikawa asked.

"why would you ask me that?" iwaizumi asked, "and the way you phrase it sounds like you're going to die."

"because you are my best friend!" the brunette said, sitting up to look down at the ravenette, "and i want you to be my best friend forever and ever!"

"there's no such thing as forever, oikawa," iwaizumi said in a matter-of-fact sort of tone, "we would die one day."

"then i want you to be my friend until the day i die!" oikawa exclaimed.

"whatever," iwaizumi said, shutting his eyes.
