Ch. 2 beau brooks love story

Ninas P.O.V

"Nina sweetie, time to wake up." My mom whispered. I mumbled and rolled over to see her. I sat up just a little so I could wake up a bit. "I have good news" she told me. "What?" I asked as a small smile approached my face. "A new neighbor is moving in with his parents he's just about your age. We are going to meet him tonight for dinner." My mom explained. "Awesome!" I smiled. Even though inside I was dying, just great just another person to call me a slut and whore and tell me to go die. I held back the tears as my mom left the room. What if he's mean to me like everybody else and what if he hates me lie everybody else. I only have two friends and their names are Madison and Nicole other than that everybody hates me. But again what if this so called 'new boy' is nice. Oh what am I thinking he won't be he will be like all the others. I started to cry then looked over at my box. But then I looked away I can't do it I have to stop I can't cut I can't cut. But the more I thought about it the more I wanted to. But I had to stay strong for Madison, Nicole and my family I had to do it for them. I remember last November I had cut and I was rushed to the hospital. My mom never knew what happened and she still doesn't I asked the nurse not to tell her because that's what I thought would be best. So the nurse kept my secret safe. But seeing my mom so upset for days I can't do that to her again I just can't. I decided it was time to get dressed. So I quickly showered and put on some black leggings with a white and black nirvana muscle tee. I paired that with my white vans and a necklace that my dad had given me when I was 7 for my birthday. It said love and hope on it. I carefully put it on. Then old memories came back.

****Flashback*****

"Daddy?" I asked. "Yes honey." He replied as he say next to me. "Do you promise you will stay with me forever?" I asked. "Yes I do" he said as he hugged me tightly. "Pinky promise?" I asked shyly. "Pinky promise." He told me. We pinky promised. Then he handed me a red box. "Open it" he smiled. I opened it there lied a beautiful necklace that said love and hope on it. "Thank you daddy! I love it!" I kissed him on the cheek.

He promised. He pinky promised. But he broke his promise. Tears started rolling down my face as I finished clasping the necklace so it would stay on. I wiped my eyes quickly and washed my face so nobody would notice that I was crying. I ran down stairs. I walked into the kitchen and saw mom. "Hey mom" I smiled. "Hi sweetie" she smiled back. She looked down at my necklace then just started crying. "Mom?" I said. "Are you ok?@ I added. "Yeah it's just" she stuttered. "It's just what?" I said. "Your father." She said. "I know mom I miss him too."
