Chapter 23- Awake at Last

(Sans POV)

It's been a few weeks since we saved (Y/n) and killed her dad. Alphys hid his body and erased the bills from system memory so his existence didn't even matter. But I can't say the same for (Y/n) she's been in a coma for the past four weeks. We got there just in time to save her life. Her spine, ribs, legs, (dominant arm), and neck were broken and she had a concussion. She must have gone through mental abuse as well considering what she was saying when we saved her. The doctors managed to bandage her up and keep her safe. I haven't left her side, and I won't ever. Everyone says I should forget about her but I could never do that. Toriel hasn't been well either. She's depressed about her child and was the one to cremate (Y/n)'s dad's body. Undyne and me threw spears and bones that pierced his body. Mettaton saw he wasn't dead and stomped on him, killing him. Asgore didn't help, neither did Papyrus, Frisk, Nabstabot, and Chara. Flowey was a big help in this and helped carry (Y/n) to the hospital. The little bud never even met the girl but here he is, saving her life. Flowey is actually on (Y/n)'s bedside table. The both of us are practical guards.

She's been having nightmares and whenever she does, she whimpers my name. It's sweet, she knows she can rely on me to be there for her. Whenever this happens, I hug her and she feels my presence. Feeling safe once again. I couldn't keep up with all the thinking. I passed out holding (Y/n)'s hand.

You woke up with a groan looking to your left was a hospital chair and curtains. To your right was a window, a bedside table with Flowey and Sans. You cried tears of joy when you saw him. Flowey was awake and saw you. He shook Sans awake and you immediately hugged him. Your back and chest hurt like hell ,as well as your neck. You simply cried. Flowey used Sans' phone to call everyone to come in. All the nightmares were worth it, you were now back with your lover. Sans was shocked but was crying as well. You were back and that's where you were going to stay, forever and always.

Everyone came in soon and hugged you. Undyne even cried and kept saying she thought she wasn't fast enough. Alleys was wondering how your dad found you in the underground. And Toriel was wondering if you would like to stay with her for awhile. Asgore brought (favorite tea) with him for you so you could be calm. Papyrus got you (favorite gummys/ chocolate). Frisk and Chara made you a necklace and bracelet. You smiled at all the kind offerings and accepted them. You asked Sans to tell Grillby that you were alright next time he went and he agreed to that. You were happy now and nothing could bring you down.
